Loved the vibe at this hotel. It's clean, the beds were super comfortable and the pool/hot tub was a great activity to do in the evening. The horses on the property really add to the experience. Its proximity to the trail to Chincoteague Beach/Refuge with bike and beach rentals on the premises made it so easy for us to get out and explore the area. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed here last minute after our previously reserved room at another place flooded and closed. The staff was so welcoming and the room was well kept and clean. We had everything we needed. Including a delicious breakfast delivered to our door. The kids enjoyed the pool while my husband and I relaxed poolside. Definitely coming back for a longer stay next time.

The Refuge Inn is a very special place to stay. It is the closest Inn to Assateague island. The staff welcome you and are so kind and pleasant. The Inn has an indoor pool and sauna. They also have an inexpensive bike rental on the other side of their parking lot. Family run it is beautifully decorated and maintained motel. They have a coral next to their parking lot with pony’s that were once wild living there. You can purchase feed and put it in troughs for them to much on while you take pictures of these beautiful animals. The view from their deck of Assateague Island and the water is lovely.

Breakfast was delivered fresh and warm every day at our designated time. The pool was warm and spacious while being surrounded by tropical plants. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the grounds and nature. Great spot for morning coffee or breakfast. Having ponies on the grounds to feed and pet made it the total package. Our granddaughter said all of her “dreams were coming true” while we stayed.
