Enjoyed this very old Lodge and all of the character. Our bed was comfortable, just be aware that if you are in a room on the busy highway side - it is very noisy in the morning. The restaurant was wonderful and everyone was super friendly. If in this area we would not hesitate to stay again.

It’s a very small town and not much to do. But this hotel is quaint, clean, and comfortable, although old and wooden. So expect some creaking boards. Even so, it’s a good place to rest.

Hotel was clean. Room was small but this hotel is almost 100 years old and is in good condition. Has a moth ball smell that my wife didn’t like.

It is a very unique place. I would strongly recommend staying in this hotel. Keep in mind dining room is open from Thursday-Sunday. Excellent food. Staff was so friendly. Roo was so clean, and a lot of history in the 100 year old building. Awesome place!

Very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and the food is definitely five⭐️. Beverly was born to host. Take a moment to relax at the bar and chat with Sean. He has an enormous amount of knowledge about the history of the hotel you will find enjoyable. I look forward to my next stay. Captain Dave

The Putnam

The owner was so gracious as we arrived late in the evening. The grounds are beautiful. The room was very clean and had character. Our stay was very brief, but comfortable and restful.

A very interesting and well kept hotel and restaurant. The staff was friendly. They rooms were clean and comfortable. The food and service at the restaurant was excellent. The grounds outside were very pleasant, with peacocks and guineas roaming about. An aviary and a nice patio area with a large fountain. Very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.
