“The hotel and pub were very pleasant. The rooms were well-equipped and the food was excellent. However, the service at the pub was inconsistent. While some tables were served, we were not and this was unclear. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. However, the room temperature was excessively high. “Bit disappointed really with the lady of the house.She seemed very helpful offered her services as a cab to pick our car up which was very nice of her so I took her up on that and she said put another £10 on the bill which I paid gladly. When she spoke to my wife a little later my wife offered her £20 pound for the journey and she gladly took it without mentioning that I had already paid but on her conscious be it won’t be going back strangely enough”

“My husband and I had the best experience at the Bulls Head Inn! We loved everything about it—the quaintness of the town, the cleanliness of the inn and our room, and the food and drinks at the pub (the veggie burger was amazing!). The list could go on. The staff were so welcoming, and there was even a beer/bull festival going on the night we stayed, with live music! “Friendly welcome. Characterful room with good quality tea tray. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not overly clean and the bathroom in particular was tired, run down and felt grubby. Black and dirty sealant around the outside of shower. Broken tiles on floor, broken loo roll holder, grubby and badly marked walls and thick dust/grime on skirting. With a deep clean and a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay.”

“Stayed for two nights in room 1. Staff were fantastic. Lovely breakfast on both days. Nice meal sitting outside in the sun. The wi fi was very good which is important as the phone service is non existent in this area. The village is quiet and picturesque.”

“Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”
