Actually the property was in renovation and they took us to their parent company, hotel Mayaland; which was a huge upgrade as Mayaland is one of the oldest 1st class hotels on the area. It was great and the property and service was amazing. I would recommen Mayaland instead and we were lucky to be there paying a considerable lower rate 😁
We booked this hotel, but due to electrical issues they moved us to their sister hotel that is located in the Chichen Itza property. The hotel was wonderful and the staff we fantastic. The restaurant was excellent, I highly recommend the Cochinita Pibil, it was excellent.
Gorgeous hotel with friendly employees, adorable stray dogs fed by guests, authentic and delicious food, and a fantastic courtyard and outside pool area (with swing!)
We were a little nervous about this hotel, but it was absolutely fine. Helpful reception, food tasty and a welcoming swimming pool if it was too hot. I suspect most people coming here will stay only a night or two, and it is absolutely fine.
I can’t wait to come back again one day! The staff was amazing, Jose at the front desk was so helpful. The included breakfast was tasty. You could walk to Chichén Itzá pyramids from the hotel.
Very beautiful and unique place to stay. Exotic and warming. We stayed here during the hurricane coming by the town. Staff kept us comfortable. Will be staying here in future to explore the town more.
We have been to Hotel Chitchen Itza before. It is a great hotel. All the amenities you need in the heart of the Yucatan. It has never disappointed our Yucatan experience.
The hotel is close to chichen itza. We walked twice in one day in the morning and at night time to see the lights show.
The breakfast was really good which was included.
This property was very well kept and had excellent friendly staff. The breakfast was awesome, freshly made watermelon juice, fresh sweet fruit, freshly baked sweet bread. No elevator but the staff took our luggage up.
Beautiful place. Love it! All of their staff is friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was great! Not to mention dinner, it was also great.
Had a very relaxed evening in the pool after visiting Chichén Itzá ruins.
This was an excellent choice for our trip to the Yucatan peninsula. It’s conveniently located and easy to get to, staff was very good. Our booking included breakfast, which was very good. We stayed 3 nights and breakfast was one of my favorite things. It’s very close to chi Chen Itza.
This hotelgets a mixed review. The place has helpful friendly front desk staff, a great outdoor breakfast service, and a nice view of a central pool and garden (accompanied by chorus of forest birds each evening). We were able to get easy taxi transport to the ruins site. The rooms are generally nice but a bit dark and damp, so check options once your arrive. There is an onsite restaurant (apart from the breakfast service) that serves bland tasteless food, but you can explore other restaurants along the stretch of road that it is on.
Hotel was nice and close to chichen itza. Staff were very helpful with questions we had. Room was a good for the one night we needed. We stayed here for our stop to chichen itza and it was comfortable for that. Furniture is outdated and the chairs by the pool could use being changed. Beds a bit hard but not terrible. The rooms could use some maintence just from being old but nothing major. It worked for our one night.
You can listen to the sound of the forest while seating in a rocking chair in a long and beautiful corridor facing a magnificent pool.
You going to love the sound of many birds and admired the many green trees around the property.
The location of the hotel is ideal to visit Chichen Itzá. However, no WiFi in the room, just in the lobby near the bar. The lighting in the room is poor.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property was not great. No value for money. A very small TV in room with very bad print. Pool was dirty. Breakfast was Ok. Location was a plus.
This is a wonderful hotel with gorgeous grounds. The entrance is an enormous thatched open lobby with friendly staff that speak English. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. It was comfortable and the air conditioning was great. The shower had great water pressure and the restroom was spacious. We ate at the restaurant the first evening and loved the food. The included breakfast was delicious. It's served in the open air and there are lots of flying critters that want a taste. They had delicious Papaya jelly that really attracted flys, so we had to place a napkin over it. You can walk to the downtown square easily where you will find several little shops and food vendors. Parking at the hotel is great. It's a five minute drive to the Chichen Itza ruins, or you could walk there. The ruins are extensive, so you would get your steps in for sure. We look forward to returning here with our kids in the future.
The beds are HARD and the sheets are dirty and hard. When showering you feel u are sinking because the tub is so old. Asked the guy in the front desk for a cup of ice and he told me to go buy it across the street. The wifi is not good, nor the tv did the worked. Asked again the front desk about not having wifi or cable in the room and rudly he said it was due to the rain and that there was no wifi access in the rooms only in the lobby area. The only good thing about this stay was their breakfast. Otherwise, do not stay at this hotel, stay in Vallalodid. It's about 40 min drive from Chinen-Itza however, they have better hotels and staff is friendlier.
