This is a good location in proximity to everything in the Lakewood/Boystown Neighborhoods. It was not a huge inconvenience to not have a working elevator but make sure you are not placed in a room right next to the stairwell as the squeaking and slamming door throughout the night did not lend to a very restful stay.

The lobby is nice and the staff were helpful. We picked this location because it was a mile walk to the Cub’s game. The rooms are so old and run down. Carpet is stained, walls are peeling, bathroom looks like it is 40 years old, beds were uncomfortable and pillows flat. I would not stay here again.

The room was large, clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioner was very noisy, there was a lot of noise from the street and the elevator was being renovated (expected to be finished in December) so we had to be taken up by staff in the freight elevator (only they could operate it) or take the stairs

The rooms are smaller, but all older Chicago buildings are like that. The elevator was out for our trip but they offered the service elevator. The stairs are just fine if you are able to do them. Great location and room. Would stay again.

Things were clean and comfy but facility was a bit tired. Elevator under repair so we had to either take service elevator operated on request by staff, or walk up narrow stairs. Not for everyone. Housekeeping and Front desk staff were all delightful and helpful in answering our questions. Good location for eats and transport

Great location near restaurants, taverns, Wrigley Field, etc. Some challenges were that the guest elevator was out of service and apparently for quite some time. Climbing stairs is ok but not for a hotel claiming 4 stars. The television in the room requires attendance at MIT apparently as we nor anyone on staff knew how to get it to function after several attempts of QR code, selecting favorite media on your phone and other hoops. No elevator and no TV but Ihave to say that the front desk staff were very ice. You can likely do better elsewhere.

Had a wonderful time staying here for one night. The room was nice and spacious, besides the bathroom which was a little cramped. I was on the top floor and unfortunately the elevator was out so I had to use the stairs but it wasn't bad. If definitely recommend this hotel

Staff were friendly. Hotel was clean. Room was dated & did not have a mini fridge or microwave. But I chose a more cost effective room also. Elevator was broken all 3 days we were there. Freight elevator was offered. And we used it once to get our luggage up the stairs initially. It is very old. And I’m sure this was inconvenient for staff. Lobby, and room were clean. Restaurant was clean, & had nice staff. And food was good.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, mostly to be close Wrigley Field for a game. The walk was under 25 minutes and a very easy path to follow. We parked in the recommended parking garage which was a short walk away. No in or out privileges, which makes taking in the sights by car expensive. We enjoyed the atmosphere when we walked in and it has great decor and a vintage feel. The elevator was out of service, so we had to use the service elevator to bring up our luggage, accompanied by a front desk employee. The staff was lovely and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. What was disappointing was the size of the room, which was super small, however, we made it work. No refrigerator in the room, so we had to throw out any leftovers brought back from dinner. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom shower was fine. The plug didn’t work in the bathroom and the shelf above the sink stuck out so far, I had trouble washing my face and brushing my teeth. It felt more like a dorm room than a hotel. Expensive for what you get.

Great location for Wrigley Field and Lincoln Park. Safe walkable neighborhood. Lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance. Staff was amazing and helpful. Elevator wasn't working and we could have used a fridge in the room, but those were the only things lacking.

The location is great. There's so much nearby within walking distance. It's an easy uber drive to Wrigley Stadium and close enought to Cloud gate and river tours. Unfortunately, the elevator was not working during our stay so it meant going up and down 4 flights of stairs. The staff was very friendly! They had just opened a new in house restaurant which is convenient, we just didnt get enough time to try it.
