I was in town for a university event, and room rates were jacked up. You will pay a steep premium for the convenient location. The rooms are, in a kind word, unremarkable. My bathroom had no sink area or shelf on which to lay toiletries, which was quite inconvenient. On the plus side, the staff is super, and the cafe restaurant quite good.

Very nice staff and great location. The room looked a little tired and had several small maintenance issues. One of the curtains was broken on top so light came in the room and the bathroom faucet was wobbly as was the toilet paper holder. I complained about the curtain and they said someone would come fix it but no one ever did.

The staff at hotel was friendly, respectful and responsive to our requests. The hotel is located in perfect location where we were able to walk and try different restaurants in the city using our stay. What bothers us a bit was that our bathroom has missing shower curtain and the lounge was too not sufficiently cool down for summer day.

The hotel has a great location in downtown Evanston close to Northwestern University. You can walk to restaurants and bars, close to coffee shops, target and Whole Foods. Service is great and valet is $37 a day. Our room was great, remodeled and comfortable. Price is very affordable for the location.

The first room that was assigned to us was terrible; small, looked like a basement although it was on 3rd floor, had only ugly white lighting! Luckily the staff listened to our complaints and changed it immediately to a normal room. The staff was kind and polite. Our room was clean. Breakfast had a rich menu. However, there was no complimentary water bottles (we were told that the hotel ran out of water). They were being sold though.
