Staff wasn’t very educated on what time the bar / restaurant was open until and I was checking in at 8pm he told us 9pm. 9 pm on a Friday night he said yes didn’t explain much else room was huge and very clean and nice we figured out how to scan the QR code on the tv to find out the restaurant’s was serving food until 10 and bar was open until 11 pm definitely a great price for a room this close to downtown Chicago under $200 just maybe educate your staff a little more

I like the handicap parking in front of the hotel although there needs to be more of it. I understand there are spots on the side of the hotel near the restaurants but only a few directly in the front lot of the hotel. The King mattress in Room 631 was not very comfortable! Seemed flat and hard like old mattresses feel. I stay here probably 4/5 times a year but I feel it’s time for a refresh at the Doubletree. The Staff are phenomenal! Smiles at the Front Desk, the Maintenance Man, the Housekeeper…. Etc. Noise in the inside courtyard was extremely loud on Saturday afternoon and until 9:00/9:30 pm…but it was a kids having fun and it didn’t bother me! Thank you! 😁

Poor maintenance but great staff. Stayed here for the first time a few years ago, that’s why we came back. Needed to switch rooms during the first few minutes of seeing the room. Broken shades, drawers broken and kept rolling out, dirty tub. Luckily the front desk staff was understanding and didn’t think twice about switching me. Planning to come back for future stays but hope maintenance can get back on their game!
