We were disappointed that they didn’t have a complimentary breakfast available. Otherwise we had a good stay. The room was clean and staff were helpful. There was not a hair dryer in the room but we were able to get one very easily. The staff was very friendly and the area was quiet.

A hotel was OK. Definitely not up to Doubletree standards. The pool looks like it’s been permanently closed, but was told that they are in the process of repairing it. It’s currently being used as a storage area. Other than that, the rooms were fine.

I had ants in my first room the only compensation I was offered before calling Hilton directly was extra points or free breakfast after a non-thorough room cleaning was conducted. I called Hilton and was given back a pet fee. Staff was kind side form that issue and aside from ants the property was clean. Also when renting the banquet hall they didn’t want to offer dishware until we complained that we have food wouldn’t it be helpful to have plates if we have a room for sitting and eating. Pool was down for summer and ice maker in all floors except one wasn’t working.

My room was not ready until 9:00 pm. I didn’t appreciate not being able to check in at 6:00 pm. The breakfast was overpriced. You get the same buffet food at other hotels for free. The wood floors in the bedroom were sticky.

Maintenance staff was helpful in fixing the multiple issues we had in our rooms prior to our check-in. Those issues were already noted by management but we're fixed for our stay. The women at the front desk was not only rude but not knowledgeable on the questions or information we asked pertaining to the hotel.

We selected this hotel because of the brand name, advertised pool and location for a weekend family trip with easy access to the Metra station to get to downtown Chicago. Location. Fine. All else just horrible. First, the pool. Which was a strong must have traveling with young kids. Closed and looks like its been transformed to a storage unit. Refurbishment is a nice excuse for unadvertised closure. Elevators. Only one worked the entire time-we were there on the 3 and 4 floor. Sharing the hotel with flight crews and other travelers forced us to haul our luggage up the stairs. After waiting 20 minutes. The air conditioning unit in our room was LOUD and didn’t regulate temperature at all. Our door didn’t lock properly…
