“Staff very friendly and helpful. Room had all the amenities expected. With comfortable bed and thick towels. Only problem encountered were the very steep and curved stairs but in such a lovely place this is to be expected”

“Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that.”

It's a large pub for tourists, so it can get busy, yet despite the young front of house team, this place runs like clockwork - I was very impressed with how well organised they were. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in.
