The restaurant was an expensive disappointment. The menu was limited, the portion small, and very average food quality. The restaurant was touted as being very good in reviews, but that was not our experience. The service was very rushed and atypical of dining in France. The hotel was nice but more expensive than other places where we have stayed in France. Overall, it was not a good value proposition in our opinion.

Love this place

This hotel is a real gem. The room is beautiful and we have enjoyed the sauna snd cold plunge pool! I stayed here 30 years ago. It is even more beautiful, however I remember the restaurant was better back then. I had the worst cafe creme of my trip here

Fantastic in every way

This is the most wonderful place to stay! Super charming, wonderful and helpful staff, and most spacious and comfortable rooms. There is parking and the gate closes at night for security. The restaurant is elegant and fine dining. This was one of the best dinners we had in France. The Auberge is walking distance to Chenonceau. We will only stay here for future visits!

Unbelievable romantic countryside hotel with 3 different buildings. We stayed at the mainhouse wing. Great food from own gardens and local farmers. Goo service too. Highly recommended as their Epicerie on the other side of the street!

This is a historic property with excellent modern amenities. The staff were over the top helpful, especially Jacqueline. There is ample parking and a farm yard with sheep, chickens, and goats- cute! It is a three minute walk to the entrance of the Château of Chenonceau. There was a nice comfortable sitting area with books. Excellent place to stay to see this adorable town and the château. Highly recommend!

Next to Chateaux Chenonceaux but the property is not remotely close to 5 star. Maybe 3 star. First night in a room in adjacent building that felt like a remodeled barn, with thrift-store type of furniture. Moved into nicer room 2nd night which had spiders and other creepy crawlers. Woke up to a spider in my bed. The reviews must be for their restaurant which we didn't try.

5* hopes but 3* reality

Given the rating for the hotel we were disappointed in certain aspects. The location of the hotel we ideal to visit Chenonceaux Chateau and the pool area was excellent including hot tub/sauna. The staff were friendly & helpful. The Bistro food was good. Our suite however was poor as there was no view and the bathroom only had a handheld shower connected to the bath taps and due to the sloping rood it was not possible to stand up when showering. This was very inconvenient. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and did not have a duvet (only sheets/blanket) We met the owner when we left and she advised that we should have asked to change suites. The tariff for the above was extremely high and our experience did not justify this and we will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

Lovely hotel with a pool. Food options were overpriced and not great. We ate in the bistro but the staff seemed disinterested and just keen to get away. We were disappointed as the restaurant seems to be highly rated. We had breakfast in the village at a local boulangerie which was excellent value.
