The online photos failed to live up to the actual accomadations. An Example, the room was smaller then appears in the photo. The patio felt short of the photos and need to be cleaned. The most concerning was the mold in the shower. TV was small and ackwardly placed on the wall for viewing. Positive parking was great and everything was in Walking distance. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Also the staff was friendly.

The location is fantastic being on the High Street in a central location and nicely set back from the hoards of tourists. The staff are lovely and engaging. Lunch and evening meals were beautifully cooked but breakfast at £21.50 per head was not great, being over cooked and one of the most expensive I’ve had, probably ever. On the subject of price, whilst the evening meal was lovely, £40+ each for a Goan Fish Curry and a Ribeye Steak was excessive being on or above the price of a good London restaurant.

Charming inn right at the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water. It was a short walk to the shops and pubs/restaurants of the town. Chose it because it had a room that would accommodate three ladies on our little tour of the Cotswolds. Our room had two separate bedrooms, one with a large bed and then another with two twin beds. Bathroom was updated and roomy with a full tub and shower. Would be perfect for a family also. The inn was built in 1698 and has historical charm, but was nicely renovated. Lovely restaurant which we didn't have a chance to try, and a sitting area where we had coffee. Everyone was lovely and kind. Would highly recommend.

The whole place was charming and full of character. Check-in was fast and reception took us to our room personally. The room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was modern and clean. A nice selection of teas and biscuits. This is not a negative but something to be aware of; since the building is older and refurbished, the stairs are a little narrow and lean so make sure you are comfortable with navigating not so perfect stairs if you choose to stay in the upper levels. Back to the positives: the garden area was lovely with plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy, there were EV stations available, a small pub and restaurant to relax and unwind (we didn’t try it out, but the smells coming from the kitchen were wonderful). Most importantly, right in the heart of the village so you can walk to everything.

We stayed in a family room at the Dial in late January 2026. We found the room plenty big enough for us (a couple + one adult). The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was particularity nice with a large soaking tub. The hostess was very nice and helpful. We reserved the breakfast rate, and the breakfast was excellent. We would stay again.
