The Rising Sun by Greene King Inns

First time stayed here, nice place, friendly staff, food was great, view of the sunset great. Only negative I would add is just a few areas like some doors or frames need a lick of paint, otherwise defo stay again We stayed here to go to RIAT airshow next day and after visiting Clarkson’s Farm where we met him also

Friendly reception, stunning location, left a bag of room clean items outside my door as I was do not disturb. Small things go along way. Only suggestion Citronella candles for the garden the wasps are very annoying...

Great views from the bar and garden, and perhaps some rooms though not ours as we were facing out the back. Rooms are clean and functional but nothing to write home about, with bathrooms not dissimilar to the toilets in a school 20 years ago. Nevertheless, a good night's rest and great location if you're playing golf and the nearby Cleeve Hill golf course.

Lovely stay

A warm welcome from the Reception lady, who quickly got me checked in and was very helpful. Comfortable room, plenty of space and room for hanging clothes up. Nice restaurant with lots of food and drink options, the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Nice walks from the door.
