We liked the location of this hotel, a quiet area within walking distance of the centre of Cheltenham. Our room was large and clean. The sink had a large crack which didn’t look great considering our first impression was a good one. Breakfast was good, not great, but good. Compliments to all the staff who were charming, welcoming and efficient throughout.

Everything is done properly here. Excellent service in every area. Rooms are wonderful. Very quiet nights sleep. Fantastic bedding. Excellent parking with our car underground out of the sun. Great location, and staff were very helpful. Excellent secure parking. We enjoyed breakfast - the porridge and cinnamon toast were excellent. The menu offered a wide choice. Bed was comfy, but we were there in a hot spell of weather, and there was no air con in the room. The fan in the room did help a little, but it was still very warm for sleeping. The room could have been cleaner however. We had a room which had a bath, shower and vanity unit in the bedroom with a separate toilet. The edges of the floor of the toilet were not clean, and the top of the skirting was laden with dust.

Was lucky to bid on a room upgrade, so had a huge room, but the lift was out of order, so had to carry bags to second floor, which wasn't very convenient. The Guinness in cans wasn't our best decision either. Breakfast was very nice, and parking is very convenient.
