“Lovely spacious rooms and really friendly bar/restaurant with a good atmosphere bearing in mind it was a Monday night. Food choice and quality was excellent.”

“1 Star – Not Recommended This is not really a hotel but an old countryside pub with a few guest rooms. The location is extremely remote, and it is pitch black outside at night with very little lighting. The building is old, the rooms feel dated, and the overall experience was disappointing. If you’re expecting a comfortable hotel, you will likely be disappointed. I would not stay here again.”

“I have stayed at the Fox before and will again. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and very clean and the extra touches (tea/coffee facilities and cold milk in the fridge) are thoughtful and very appreciated. The breakfast is delicious and very thoughtful. I thought £7 for 2 slices of sourdough bread and £5 for a bottle of water to take to my room was a bit excessive!”

“I stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. The staff helped me locate the property (wedding goers had parked in front of the sign and hidden it). I had booked a single room and it was ideal for one person. Shower room spacious and worked well.”
