We had a lovely time from the moment we checked in. Staff who greeted us were warm and friendly. The room nicely renovated and felt much fresher than when we last came through Charlton. Parking is easy, fuel, banks and food places are easily accessed from the hotel. Will definitely return.

Easiest check in every. Walked in to reception said my name to the lovely lady and 30 seconds later had my room key. Just what you want after a long day driving. Could park my small truck outside the room. Room was clean, WiFi was good and the pub in town served great steak and very cold beer. Winner winner chicken dinner for the hotel and Charlton. Even the bakery made a great coffee and toastie.

We made a booking with the staff for 2 double rooms. One person was unable to make the trip with us so I cancelled the2 rooms and changed the booking to one room with accommodation for 3 in the same room . I dealt with the manager on both these occasions, however was told I had make the original booking with some outside agent and she was unable to help with refund for the room that was cancellled. Also it is a very ordinary motel which needs a lot of a facelift, cracked tiles, smoke detector needs replacing, generally tired, but the beds and Manchester were very clean. Would not recommend this motel to stay.

This motel could do with a massive makeover. It’s tired and very outdated. On a positive note, the bed wasn’t uncomfortable, the room was spacious and the shower stream was good. Unfortunately there were broken tiles in the shower right underneath where you stand and the vanity was in disrepair. Lovely staff and check in & out was seamless.

We had room 15. Shower pressure was good, hot water good. Bathroom fittings and decor pretty awful. Room very small but clean. Some power points did not work. We arrived about 5pm to find reception unmanned, however there was a device to dispense your room keys. The following morning reception was still unmanned. The external lighting on that side of the driveway was not working, and upon returning from a function late, we needed to resort to phone torches to not trip in the dark and to find the key-hole. The door did not lock well. Our room really needed a good fix up and coat of paint. Perhaps they are working their way around fixing things, but there was nobody present to discuss this. If you need an absolutely no-frills clean crash-pad then ok.
