Delightful stay in La Malbaie

Our stay at Auberge La Chatelaine was wonderful. Laurent is a very friendly and engaging host, helping us with our bags and providing good advice on places of interest, restaurants etc. The room we had is well designed and tastefully furnished with very comfortable beds. The daily breakfast was also delicious. Overall, we are very happy customers.

We had a dormer room with sloped ceiling over the bed. The floor and the bed mattress creaked/groaned; there was too much "stuff" in the room, with too little light. Opening the dormer windows (thankfully with screens) helped and provided a nice view of the river, as well as fresh air (no AC). There was loud music from an entertainment venue nearby on one night. The hosts were very nice and the breakfasts were very good.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette auberge authentique et très bien entretenue. Nous nous sommes senties comme à la maison et nous sommes même restées un jour de plus que prévu. L’accueil a été très chaleureux et le petit déjeuner est entièrement fait maison avec des produits frais (les confitures sont vraiment originales et délicieuses), sans oublier le goût du détail dans la décoration de la maison. Quelle source d’inspiration ! Nous espérons y retourner la prochaine fois que nous serons au Canada. En résumé, tout était parfait et d’une qualité très rare. Merci encore à vous deux !
