This is an interesting and unusual place. The oldest parts of the inn date from 1670 and 1740. The place is quite cozy. It's seen a lot of history, but it is up to date. The room was great, with a new, large bathroom and an excellent bed. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They texted to confirm our arrival and had everything ready when we arrived!

The property is beautiful, and the room was clean and well appointed. We were unable to have full use of the amenities due to a buy out. When I asked what that was, I was told they had a wedding that weekend and we weren’t notified prior to that. That meant we were unable to use anything but our own room. We were disappointed that we were unable to have dinner in their highly rated restaurant. It would’ve been nice if we had known this ahead of time we may have opted for another property to stay at.

Historic gem.

The General Stanton Inn is beautifully restored and a historic gem. We loved our room, newly renovated. The restaurant is fantastic as well, and would be worth the visit for that alone.
