We absolutely loved staying here. Staff is very helpful and kind. Great location with plenty of shopping and dining. Night life was great as well. Enjoyed the vendors in the park on Saturday.

Staying at the Francis Marion hotel is always a wonderful experience. It’s beautiful, the staff are delightful, and the rooms are lovely. We attend an annual conference there, and the care and attention that the staff give to our function is remarkable. It is absolutely our favorite hotel.

The Francis Marion is located in a central area that allows you to walk to many downtown attractions. The hotel is clean and rooms are great with some containing two beds and two bathrooms. And while the bathrooms are small and the elevator is slow, it’s a great hotel to stay for history and Views of the harbour.

This is our second time staying at the Francis Marion and both times have been excellent. Room and hotel lobby are always clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed happy hour at the restaurant bar and there is always a great atmosphere. The location and history of the hotel are wonderful and everything is within walking distance. The concierge desk was wonderful in assisting us with finding things to do to try and beat the heat during a heat wave and made this trip better than the last. I highly recommend this hotel for a weekend away in Charleston.
