The whole overall experience was exceptional. The staff the room, the beautiful pool setting made for a lovely trip. The poolside bar and menu were also very good. The location is perfect central to many restaurants and activities. We look forward to returning for another visit.

Great location, very helpful staff . Awesome bar with best cocktails in town ( even beats new Cooper hotel) Excellent view from roof top Morning coffee needs improvement , but good pastries. We had a wonderful stay at Market Pavilion overall and would absolutely stay here again. The location is unbeatable — perfectly situated in the heart of Charleston and right next to the market, with everything within easy walking distance. It was the perfect location for being in the center of all the action. The staff were, for the most part, incredibly friendly, kind, helpful, and accommodating. Twice-daily housekeeping was also a really nice touch and kept our room feeling tidy and comfortable throughout our stay. The one negative experience was with a gentleman who practically chased us down when we walked back into the hotel on Saturday after going out for ice cream. He stopped us to ask if we were guests staying at the hotel. While we understand that hotels have security procedures, the way the interaction was handled felt uncomfortable and incredibly off-putting. It left us with the impression that perhaps we didn’t “look” like we belonged there, which was disappointing given how welcoming everyone else had been. Aside from that interaction, our experience was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and the majority of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We would definitely choose to stay at Market Pavilion again on a future trip to Charleston.

We totally lucked out with this stay - the property overall was great as was the staff. Rooms were amply sized and well furnished, housekeeping was on their game each day, and the lobby and rooftop were great spots to grab a drink and enjoy some people watching. We would definitely stay here again. One caveat: it’s well located downtown, so expect some bachelorette parties returning from a night out at 2 am.

This was a great location. Near the pineapple fountain, the Charleston market. Close to various wonderful restaurants. About 5 blocks to king street shopping. Valet parking. The service is impeccable.
