Property was very clean and had all the amenities of a hotel but a lot more room. Bed was very comfortable as well which is a rarity in my opinion. Great walking options for dining. Host was excellent with anything we needed! Did not use the pool so cannot comment.

Hotel was quite comfortable and cozy. All necessary amenities were available and functional. The room was well decorated with pieces of art that displayed the culture of Charleston. Courtney was an attentive and welcoming host who was available when needed.

Historic Stay

Very nicely remodeled historic home. Host was very responsive. We really appreciated all the extras they did to enhance our stay. Take a nice walk to all the shopping and restaurants or a short Uber ride.

Top notch location

Nice place. Off street free parking. Perfect for a couple. Wife and I walked everywhere. Just around a mile to all the shops and restaurants. Heated pool was very nice!

We loved our stay here! The owners were so friendly and responsive, and there were nice touches throughout the room (coffee choices! Wine!) that made us feel very welcome.

This historic home in downtown Charleston was an absolutely fantastic stay during our honeymoon. Courtney was a stellar, communicative host. We LOVED the plunge pool, and we got to see heaps of bats after it got dark. Highly recommend!

The owner thought of everything we would need. The attention to details is what makes this place special. Courtney has created a tiny home in a room full of comfort. The extra pillows, the coffee maker with creamer and and the makeup remover wipes all enhanced an already amazing room. There is an amazing Pizza place within walking distance. Lyft is so convenient and affordable here as well. Our stay was wonderful! A perfect getaway for our springbreak!

We met the owner on arrival who was super helpful and friendly. This is a converted house on a nice, typical Charleston street. Easy short walk to Kings St where you can also pick up the free round town shuttle. On site parking is very handy. Room was small, but comfy and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, well appointed suite, very nice decor. Bed was comfortable. Furnishings and bathroom were newly renovated-the only drawback was the bathroom was very wet after every shower as it is open (no shower door).

Great place. Stairs are tight but not a problem for us. Toilet has low pressure. Shower is small and water runs to sink. Did not bother us. Great location to get to downtown. Walk 1 1/2 miles or short drive.

A gem of Charleston

It was a great, central location. Traveling as a single woman, I felt safe. Large yet cozy room. Perfect size bathroom with dyson hairdryer. Bed was very comfortable. The biggest and best perk was the soaking pool. I would return just to use that space. Courtney was extremely communicative from beginning to end. I highly recommend this property.

Courtney was wonderful and so helpful. When we got to our room we were delighted to find not only a coffee machine but a bottle of wine, bottles of water in the fridge and even a couple of granola bars. You can walk to Spring St and King to pick up a free shuttle.

I was beyond ecstatic with our experience at 257 Rutledge. The hospitality, amenities, and location was so much greater than expected. The heated pool was also a wonderful surprise. They said they strive for perfection and perfection is what we got :)

Courtney was very accommodating and quick to respond. When we had technical issues with communicating over Expedia she was quick to switch over text. Free parking on property as well as pool access. While we didn’t use the pool others did and it looked great! I would definitely come back here for a long weekend away.

Very nice room and en suite. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Appreciate the coffee, wine, and water provided. Ask if your room is upstairs or downstairs if the spiral staircase would be a problem for you. The street traffic is a little noisy but didn’t really bother me.

Can't say enough about the property location and convenience. We walked everywhere. Only took an uber to go to wedding because it was too hot to walk in our suits. Pool addition was a GREAT surprise and felt wonderful after walking and shopping. I've never been to Charleston, but really enjoyed the area from our bungaloe on Rutledge st!!

So nice and clean. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars on facilities is the spiral staircase was difficult to navigate with luggage. But I knew that going in, but they were there.

Nice bed, poorly designed shower

Bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep each night. My only complaint was there was no shower curtain and bathtub. It was an open shower compartment with nothing on the floor to keep the water inside the compartment. So the water spilled onto the floor of the bathroom everytime you showered. So I had to clean up the water from the floor with towels each time I finished showering. Very inconvenient! Also, the Keurig coffee machine was very difficult to operate. It would be helpful if the room had instructions on how to use it.

The room was very clean. We stayed during the snow storm and the heat in our room conked out. The after hours help was super quick and helpful. We were moved to another room quickly.
