Consider other options. At first glance the hotel seems fine. It’s close to the casino (if that is your thing), but the true nature of the location quickly becomes apparent. Parking, its in the middle of downtown so there is practically no free or affordable parking if you drove. The room is fine for the most part. It was clean and the bed was comfy. However, there is no microwave. It wouldn’t be that big of a deal if there were other common free amenities like a free breakfast. This brings me to the main point. Nothing is free or complimentary. Everything is designed to drive you out to use the casino. Want food? Go to the casino (there are no free meals there). Want coffee other than the small amount in your room, which I wasn’t brave to use? Go down to the casino, and it’s not even free. No free coffee at a hotel… or tea. No swimming pool. No free soft drinks in the casino. Common hotel amenities present in other tourist locations are just completely absent at Harrah’s. You will even get text alerts during your stay about the non comped restaurants in the casino. There is a bath tub in the room which is nearly unusable due to the fact the water was barely luke warm. Like everything else in New Orleans the casino doesn’t pay its staff a liveable wage so every time you do use its service they expect a tip, EVEN THE COFFEE LADY. I would NOT book here unless you are a Caesar rewards member, even then consider other options. There is a twenty dollar service fee every night…

The room was ok. The aesthetics made up for how small the room was. I was also on the first floor so there is a window but no view. Complete brick wall of the adjoining building. Made the room feel a tad bit creepy but not too bad. I also hate there wasn’t a microwave in the room or for public use by the front desk. But it’s a very pretty hotel and the nights were quiet for proper rest. I only stayed one night so it was fine.
