Despite my partner being in hospital for the entirety of our stay, I genuinely enjoyed my time here. The hotel is perfectly located on a charming, narrow street surrounded by shops and restaurants, with the back of the property overlooking the waterfront.
A few things are worth noting, although they didn't significantly detract from my stay. This is a genuinely boutique hotel—small, intimate and quite basic, essentially offering rooms and breakfast, there are no additional facilities/amentities or communal spaces to relax. Breakfast is simple and served in a very small room, but the beautiful waterfront view more than makes up for it.
We stayed in a Mountain View room with a balcony. The mountains are barely visible with the main outlook the backs of neighbouring buildings and their AC units, so the “view” was a bit disappointing. There is also a fair bit of noise from the streets at certain times, particularly early in the mornings, and some from aeroplanes passing overhead, but it didn't keep me up.
The hotel itself is charming and beautifully decorated. Our room was modern, spotlessly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful [particularly in my circumstance], which really stood out.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel. It’s a lovely, characterful place in an excellent, safe location, and the points mentioned above are really just to be aware of rather than true negatives.
