Great spot to visit Mont Blanc

Lovely room in a timeless hotel in an amazing location. Great breakfast, helpful and accommodating - good food in restaurant 10 steps away too. Suitable location for a 35min walk to the L’Aguille du Midi.

Cosy and clean room with a nice little balcony looking out to Mont Blanc. Plenty of parking and a ski store with locking chains (the racks aren't deep enough for boards, so take a lock (I just kept mine in my room)). Continental breakfast was a great start to the day before heading for the slopes. There's also a nice little bar for quiet apres beers before heading into town. Staff we're lovely and very pleasant to deal with. Nice tracks around the lakes and surrounding area for walking and jogging, and just sittingba while; very peaceful.

Great 5 night stay.

Good budget option in Chamonix, just a 20 min walk into the town, in a nice location next to a lake and the start of a woodland walk, giving another longer option to get into town. Great value breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Wifi worked just fine. Staff made sure I d have no issues getting to my room late at night , after staff had gone home. Would consider staying here again.

Very quaint and homey, perfect for two travelers looking for a cheap stay near the Chamonix area. Fabienne and the rest of the staff were kind and accommodating, evidenced by them working with us when we encountered bus and flight delays. Rooms were cleaned daily. Additionally, you have the option to pay the first day you arrive or the last (if you plan on taking advantage of the hotel breakfast, it’s easier to pay upon checking out). Would stay again if we decide to journey out to Chamonix. Great overall experience!

Comfortable stay

The location of Hotel des lacs is perfect for someone who wants to be in Chamonix for UTMB because downtown is only a short walk giving easy access to race activities and restaurants. The Hotel is located across the street from a beautiful park with a little lake. Our room was clean quiet and simple. Breakfast was available for a small additional charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. We felt at home.

A room with view

We had a great time at the Hotel Les Lacs. The staff was superb and kind always in our requests. The room is simple, but comfortable and most important “warm”. The shower was deliciously hot. It’s really worth to take the breakfast, again simple but effective. Our room has a beautiful view to the Glacier, we never closed our curtains, during the night when we wake up, we just looked out to the Glacier reflecting the moon light, magical.

Good location a couple of kilometres outside the very center of town. Bus stop just outside so easy to access or a short walk. Easy access to trails for running, hiking and climbing. Friendly staff. Breakfast very simple and limited but was offered which was convenient. Dont have high hopes. During our stay the elevator was broken.

If you’re a solo traveller, staying a few nights, and you don’t mind the fact that there is no small fridge or kettle in the room, then it’s a good spot. Room 5 has a beautiful view of Mont Blanc (2 single beds) It was also one of the few places that offered partial refund at time of booking so that’s why I took it. I was travelling alone from Geneva. I took the Swisstours bus (1 hour and 15 min) and from the bus drop off, I took the number 1 bus (right next to the terminal). The bus ride to the hotel is less than 5 min. Small hotel that feels more like you are in a room in someone’s home, yet you have your own private bathroom. Polite, helpful staff. Clean room. Small but for myself it was fine. You can walk directly into town in 15 min, which is what I did both days, even with my suitcase for my return. (Or take the bus or train). Very safe as well. They offer breakfast downstairs for 10 Euros (I didn’t have it because I was out and about early both days.) In town, there is a grocery store, SPAR and some great bakeries that sell coffee and pastries and sandwiches or pizza at reasonable prices.

The hotel was on the noisy main road. During the heat wave having fans available would be a great improvement. The hotel next to this hotel was a party hotel so loud and spirit induced noise was brutal if wanting to rest before going on huge hikes. Staff was very nice. it was one of the more affordable options in Chamonix. 1 km walk to town.

Nice cozy property with good location

Great location right on the bus line and very cozy accommodations. Room was clean and had a nice view of the valley. Good value for the money. The only thing I was lacking was shampoo and conditioner, but to be expected of a 2 star property.
