The room was nice, if a bit dated, with an amazing view of the mountains and river from the balcony. A fan in the room would have been nice since it was rather hot, but we managed. It was nice to have enough beds for two adults and two teens, which can be hard to find. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful accommodation. Nice staff, enjoyable lounge with free beverages and snacks by the water. Great location. Apartment was well appointed, had beautiful terrace and a nice sized kitchen. Only comment would be that the flooring and counters were quite damaged and the washer left clothes soaking wet.

The staff was wonderful! They were all so kind and helped us from start to finish. Breakfast was so delicious! Free parking was also great. We had amazing views from our room too. However, the rooms and the hallways need a huge makeover and a good cleaning. Everything else was great!

We came in the summer and loved Chamonix. This hotel was in a very good location and had a nice sized room with views of the mountains (although also right on the parking lot and another hotel so not super private). It is a cozy, lovely place- I imagine really nice in the winter. The entire place is a little run down- old carpets in the halls, and old, outdated feel. I found this charming, but also recognize some people may not like the rustic cozy feel.

The Hotel L'Arve was in a quieter part of Chamonix which was nice, since the town gets pretty busy. We had a view of Mont Blanc from our patio which was nice. The room was a little awkward in the way that it faces out to the river and a pedestrian pathway just beyond that so it lacked privacy. Also, because there is no air conditioning, the windows stay open at night and we were affected by "people noise" one evening, and "nightclub music noise" another evening. One other noise problem we could hear in our room dealt and brought to their attention was a loudly swinging door in the kitchen which was constant from about 6:00 AM until breakfast service was over. Hopefully they rectified this one. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The lawn area was the total winner for coffee in the morning and reading in the afternoon. Beautiful!
