As a hotel within the city, it is impressive! It is clean, comfortable & felt luxurious for its location. The rooftop bar was such a plus, and worth going to.

Great hotel! The staff is the highlight as they are friendly, professional, and helpful. I walked most everywhere and felt safe day and night. Clean property and a great rooftop restaurant with a view of the city. Highly recommend.

Though some places were cut like older furniture, and lighting were dim in some places, overall the property is still managed well. Most importantly, Harold's still maintain a comfortable bed that never fails my expectations.

The water in the shower was only warm. You can't get off any floors unless you have a room key. My friends stayed on the 5th floor and I stayed on the 11th. I tried to go down to the 5th floor, but the elevator would not allow it. I can only go down to the lobby. I guess it's for secuirty purpose. The breakfast buffet was fine. Checking in and out was easy.

The hotel restaurant serves the best breakfast buffet in all of Cebu City. I can't say enough good things about it. The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the showers are have luke-warm water at best. Even after a maintenane guy supposedly worked on it, the showers were still cold. This happened during two different stays, 2 months apart, and when I asked other guests, they reported cold showers as well. The staff do not seem to understand that westerners expect actual hot water, not just tepid water. I hope the management gets the message and fixes the situation.

This was my first time at Harold's. My initial satisfaction from the beauty of the lobby was short lived. While this hotel does offer a pleasant experience to it's guest it lacks the basic formalities and service I would expect of a hotel of this calibre. There was a draft in the room by the window which was irritating at times. I found the cleaning service to be severely lacking. Our first two days our room was not serviced even though we indicated we would like it done. On the occasion they showed up this was around 5pm even though we had been out all day. Furthermore I have stayed in hotels in Europe and Asia and have never had my room inspected before they let me check out. (What clientele are you expecting). However, that been said the staff were very friendly and polite and I can not fault them furthermore they are immaculately turned out! Would I stay here again, possibly not. Overall experience 6/10.

I had a couple of issues with the staff there not communicating things properly. Specifically, I had asked the front desk staff about the closest pharmacy. The staff said they would go get the medicine for me, but I was left waiting with no update, until I finally checked on it about an hour later. Turns out, it's against hotel policy to go run an errand like that. Completely understandable, but as soon as they were told they could not follow through on what they told me they would do, I should have been informed so I could go get the medicine I needed for myself. This was the biggest issue I had. If you stay here, you have to go enjoy the roof top restaurant/bar. Sometimes, they have live music and it's a really nice experience, including great food and drinks.

My stay with Harolds is pretty decent. I was a little bit disappointed because I booked a Superior Room, 1 King Bed but the room looked dated. The flooring near the desk was damaged and was a tripping hazard. The room did not have a blowdryer and hair conditioner which is what I believe to be a norm in hotels. The room was spacious enough to accommodate all my belongings and the AC was really cold, which is super ideal. Staff members were quick to respond to requests - very commendable. Also, the breakfast options were really good and tasty. Overall, it was a good experience and I will consider Harolds next time I visit Cebu.
