“Vertskapet var de nydligste menneskene vi har møtt. De hentet min sønn og meg på flyplassen(€50). De snakket ikke engelsk men vi brukte en app som oversatte det fungerte perfekt. De hjalp oss å booke bor på restauranter, og tok oss til og med rundt på en kveldstur hvor Angelo fortalte min sønn om byens historie samtidig som de viste oss hvordan vi kom oss til togstasjon, hvor den beste gelato var osv. De gjorde oppholdet vårt magisk. Vi kommer tilbake til både La Maison og denne nydelige byen....

“This is a lovely boutique hotel that is newly renovated to take advantage of the unique caves in Matera. There is a beautiful view over the gorge. We spent 3 nights here and the lovely owner spent time with us each day curating a perfect itinerary for seeing Matera. There was free parking nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It’s about a 10 min walk into the main part of town, but it’s nice to be on the edge with the view and it’s super quiet. ”
