Subtle changes to common area over the last few years add a more updated feel. The amazing staff are still as attentive and add to the beautiful relaxing atmosphere the resort offers. Highly recommend when with young families (babies), for ease of stay as the villas have everything you could need.

It much nearby but the hotel offers restaurant if you want. If you want to eat out, you’ll have to drive. I will stay there again.

As many have commented the resort has a unique combination of feature’s flexibility and staff. You can eat in or order a Bolt or Uber and go into one of the nearby villages to eat. If you eat in always try the chefs special of the day - in 2 weeks we were never disappointed. The staff at all levels are friendly courteous and speak good English. The villas are as beautiful as portrayed and we had one that looked onto a garden teeming with song birds! We found the location to be perfect - not more than a 10 euro cab fare to the local villages.

Loved our short trip to this wonderful place. I had a massage, joined an aerial yoga class and the kids had a ball in the swimming pools. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

Great break in the Algarve

Fantastic resort, we had a 2 bed apartment that was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice swimming pool with plenty of seating and umbrellas for shade. Staff extremely helpful. Just the most wonderful of venues.

There was nothing to dislike! This is my third visit and Vale da Lapa did not disappoint. The villa was large and very well appointed . In particular the reception staff were always very helpful, pleasant and informative.

From our arrival to departure, the staff provided excellent services. Shout out to Pedro Mendes and Luisa Albuquerque: these staff were awesome during our checking-in. They were very professional, caring, kind and helpful. Our visit to the Spa was great, the lady gave me a good massage. The property's ambience is top-notch! It's not too far from Portamaio and Carvreos Beachs. Everyone in my party love that resort, and we will be back.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when booking Vale da Lapa Village, but it completely blew me away. The property is stunning, the villa was spacious and comfortable, and the service was warm and welcoming. Andre checked us in and provided all the details we needed to enjoy our stay. We booked the half-board option, not realizing it included both breakfast and dinner—what an amazing surprise! The food was delicious, and while service at the restaurant was on the slower side (possibly cultural differences), the staff was always friendly. We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom villa, and it was perfect for our family of four—plenty of room to spread out. I only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the property itself. The grounds were beautifully maintained, though I’d love to see some additional pathways through the center of the resort to make getting around easier. The beds were quite firm, which didn’t bother me but might not be for everyone. On our last day, we noticed a few ants around the kitchen sink—possibly due to pouring soda down the drain—but overall, the villa was very clean and well-kept. The metal shutters on all windows and patio doors were unexpected but seemed to help with security, light, and sound. A car or Uber is definitely needed to get around, but the peaceful setting made it all worth it. Out of the three places we stayed during our trip, this was hands-down the favorite for our whole family.

Some of the staff was very rude (in particular the woman working at the bar, who scoffed when we arrived and asked for water for our kids who were extremely thirsty). Unreasonably rude and cold. Lots of ants in the bathroom as well.
