STAFF AND LOCATION ARE EXCELLENT!

This hotel is wonderfully located around restaurants and the beach. The staff is very nice. Highly recommended by me.

Good choice

Older building our tub shower had a really weird design had to climb literally into it balmy very nice. Pretty small room service is good. Staff is good. Breakfast is very simple courteous quick tasty. This is a good choice for the money. You can’t get much closer to the beach and it’s well maintained the family has Two right there in Boca grande and a third somewhere else. It’s well run safe clean. It’s a good choice. The AC works good. The TV works good. There’s plenty of hot water.

Nice hotel, close to the beach

Helpful staff, nice hotel for the price. The rooms were big and comfortable. The jacuzzi is small but ok because of the proximity of the hotel to the beach. Good breakfast

reception lobby hot, breakfast was bad not much options, rooftop dinning area super hot, mold smell in room, stairs are terrible high height , even there is elevator but you still have to climb the stairs to get the room. bathtubs was so high and old, high risk of slip and fall, they have no security in hotel to help you, will never go back again over all Bad experience

A big turn down of this hotel is the elevator… it is located between floors… you either have to go down or up and the stairs are very narrow and angled which make it difficult to carry the luggage. Location is fantastic, 2 mins walking to the beach and close to everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the lady that sell the tours is very efficient and accommodating. Decent size room with balcony but the washroom wasn’t clean properly, the bottom of the bathtub and the toilet needs to be looked after. Dated and worn out key holder felt dirty. You have to drop off the key at the counter every time you leave the building. They do an inventory of the room at check in /out.

A bit overpriced.

Three night stay. Was fine. It looked like it was a grand old hotel in the 1950's.... now its an old building. I think they wanted me to pay extra to use the jacuzzi, but didn't use it and am not sure with the language barrier if that was what they were saying. I arrived hot and tired two hours early for the 3pm check in and they wouldn't let me in early. When they did let me in the fridge needed to be plugged in, was room temp, and obviously hadn't been just used by a client who checked out at noon. Thanks for the compassion coral reef. Summary? The price was a little too high for tis OK hotel.

I was very disappointed to find that the location on the hotels.com map was not the actual location of this hotel. Especially the fact that the cab driver driving us to the hotel was not familiar with the hotel either and was not very helpful in finding out for us. Overall, we were not too impressed with Cartagena. The landmarks are beautiful, but the people were not very nice. The whole city lacked in service skills. Once at the hotel, the service was a little poor. The room was okay, but the bathroom was not set up properly making it very uncomfortable. Considering that Cartagena is expensive maybe you just need to expect to get this type of accommodation and service for the price. We stayed one night and quickly left to another hotel which was closer to the walled city, had nicer appearance, nicer room, and substantially better service. Did not pay much more either. If you can splurge just a bit more you can get something much better. The only reason for this location is if you want to be close to the beach of BocaGrande. However, the beach did not look appealing to us.
