Basic hotel to stay in for 1 or 2 nights. The room was comfortable. The breakfast need a lot of improvement, so limited in variety. The surrounding street are not safe to walk alone at night.

Everytime that I'm there the staff treats me like family. If I have any issues they make sure that it's taken care of immediately. I strongly recommend if you want a place to stay with a great staff and shopping within a few minutes from the hotel. You should stay at GHL San Lazaro Art Hotel.

Wonderful and special stay at San Lázaro Art Hotel! Beautiful art hotel in Colombia, Guatemala with a view and atmosphere that stays with you. It's not just a hotel - it's art, calm, and real care. Kelly at the front desk is amazing - she always has a way of surprising us and making us feel truly special. A beautiful welcome cake on arrival and the staff in the hotel lobby and restaurant was also amazing. Pool staff was always ready to help out when needed. Those small touches mean everything. Lovely rooms, thoughtful details, peaceful vibe, and one of the best shotels in Cartagena. A true gem run by special people. We can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!

The hotel was pretty central, most things were within a 10 uber ride or a short walk. The staff was superb and they spoke English! The only thing I did not like about my stay was my room; it had a strong chemical smell on entrance that was masking a lingering odor that emerged over night. I asked for a room change and was granted the change but they then I had already developed a cough and a sore throat. Breakfast was pretty simple nothing to rave about. Definitely would stay here again

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s a smaller, boutique-style property that still offers all the amenities you need. The rooftop terrace provides beautiful views overlooking San Felipe Castle, making it a perfect spot to relax. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the rooms were spotless and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with both buffet and à la carte options available. The hotel is located about a 5-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Cartagena’s Getsemaní district, which was ideal for us—close enough to enjoy the action, yet far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again

This place was perfect, all the staff make you feel very welcome but the restaurant staff are exceptional, Lily, Favian & Christian are the real gems. The food is delicious. I would recommend this place.
