Great location, clean hotel. Not too many bells and whistles, but perfect accommodations just 2 blocks down from the main “strip”. Shannon at the main desk was super helpful and kind. Free continental breakfast in the morning. Great value for the money. Would definitely stay here again.

Silverland was close to the wedding venue where we were attending. Carrie C. was especially cordial and went out of her way to accomodate several requests we had, e.g. late arrival, getting a refrigerator because we had a baby with us, and giving us recommendation for local restaurant & park. My only negative feedback is that I believe I used one credit card when booking with Expedia, but the hotel had another card on file. Not sure how that happened. Anyway, I did not have the number/card of the one I thought was on file & therefore I lost out on earning mileage credits on the card I wanted to use. Lastly, the desk told me the check out time was 10 am, and the cleaning crew were at my door waiting for me to leave, when the advertised check out time was 11 am.

On the positive side, the hotel is very close to the main street of Virginia City. The only negative I can add is the behavior of the owner during a smoke filled room requiring the fire department to arrive. Her militant manner suggests she needs a course in not only customer service.....but crisis management!

So there is no pool anymore. All the art was stolen off the walls in the hotel. The jacuzzi didn’t really work. We have stayed here for years.. the new owners are nice, but if there’s no pool I might as well just stay up the hill and be close to everything. Also the mattresses need to be replaced. Omg my back hurt after that stay. They were really nice though and very accommodating. Also sheets and bathroom were nice and clean.
