Great stay in a historic building. Friendly staff, fabulous breakfast. Definitely recommend for an overnight in Carrickfergus. Wonderful to walk out the door and see the castle.

Quaint older property w a lot of charm. The staff was friendly and helpful and their food at their restaurant was excellent and plentiful. We really liked the Carrick Fergus area as well. Would stay there again for sure.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, hot breakfast was cooked to order and was very good. Room itself was clean, bathroom is in need of an update and showing its age. There was no internet in the room although staff tried to reset it it would not connect in the room and cell service was sketchy at best. Our TV remote also did not work, even after a battery change. First world problems perhaps but two things that negatively impacted our stay.

Overseas trip

We had a great few days at the Dobbins Inn. Breakfast had all the usual options and was perfect. We had dinner 2 of the nights and it was some of the best food we had on our trip. The rooms are dated but it's an old place and expected. The bed was comfortable, and the windows opened enough to control the temperature. Wi-Fi was available throughout the building. The car park is less than a 5-minute walk to the hotel.
