We have stayed here before and received the usual warm welcome from the owner. The location is to the east of Carrick town, on a side road set back from the M4. The accommodation is quiet though. Bedrooms are cosy and homely.. A good breakfast in the dining room is ensured. Plenty of safe parking space.
Charlotte and Sean provided us with a great start to our trip to visit family throughout the West of Ireland. They were very welcoming and their B&B was a perfect location just outside of Carrick town center. Our room was warm and cozy. We also really enjoyed our breakfast each morning.
We'll be back next year!
A business trip to Carrick on Shannon. Guest House at entrance to town. It was signposted and easy to find - 1-2 kms to centre just off N4 main road into the town. I normally prefer anonymity of hotels combined with facilities but hotel rooms are very hard to find currently. This Guest House exceeded my expectations. It was exceptionally clean and quiet with a very comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend. Carrick on Shannon is a beautiful town and well worth a visit
We had traffic, cell phone, and gps issues leaving Dublin. Arrived way late - nearly midnight- and they ask for checking by about supper time. They had tried to call but my phone failed. Still, they let us in, had one room left. Not the double plus two twins, but we were fine with two doubles. Breakfast was also great.
Nice guesthouse. However, dining room for breakfast is very inadequate, many guests having to wait a considerable amount of time to be able to sit down and eat. Food was good but not great for breakfast.
Me and my mother absolutely loved our stay,
Charlotte and husband are wonderful people,
so friendly and obliging, actually left us off in town
two nights in a row, fantastic breakfast and service,
sorry we didn't get to say goodbye on way out!
Beautiful home, warm, comfortable bed, great hot shower! Owners fetched me from train station, they drove me back when leaving.
And the breakfast was the most amazing and delicious one, I’d ever eaten!!!
I will most definitely return again, and have already told my friends how great.
One night stay in Carrick-On-Shannon, lovely B&B, hearty breakfast, very friendly and helpful hosts!
Is a little out of town but only took 25mins or so to walk out from the town cente (is not even 5mins in a car but no taxi around at that hour of the night!)
Stayed for 2 nights at the Aisleigh Guest House when running the nearby Longford Marathon.
GOOD POINTS: Nice clean room, area was quiet, AGH is relatively easy to find, parking was easy, internet was reasonably fast and reliable, proprietor was professional and efficient.
BAD POINTS: Room wasn’t the most spacious, only 4 power outlets all on one strip so expect to move all electrical items (kettle, laptop, phone charger etc) to one corner, bathroom so small the hand basin is actually outside.
Overall a decent place to stay.
We had one night at the Guest House before boarding a self drive boat on the Shannon river. Charlotte was a very generous hostess and helped us in so many ways - far beyond the call of duty. Thank you Charlotte, it was very much appreciated. Carrick is a delightful little town.
