We had to book this hotel at the last minute and they were ready and waiting for us. Checkin was easy. The rooms we were allocated were reasonable, clean and well kept. Bathroom had a shower but no bath. We dined in the hotel which was fine. Service and meals were excellent. The hotel is a stopping place for bus tours but bus tour parties are segregated from paying guests so there was no problem there. The location is quiet. Sleep quality very good. About 30 minutes drive from Inverness but that was not a problem. Recommended.

Hotel was full of dogs which wasn’t good and wandering around in restaurant while people eating. Breakfast was cold and staff weren’t bothered never asked why food wasn’t eaten!

Shame about the breakfast

The room was recently refurbished, so was lovely with fresh white paint. The Highland Fine Soaps toiletries were a nice touch. However, the housekeeping was a little confusing. We stayed 3 nights. Our bed was not made after the first night but was after the second. Mugs were cleaned, but tea bags not replenished - these were easily obtained from reception. Reception were slways helpful and friendly. The BIG disappointment was the cooked breakfast. Everything had clearly been cooked hours before and kept warm. The food was lukewarm served on hot plates. The black pudding was so hard on Sunday morning that it was difficult to cut. The bacon and sausage were tough as old boots. We gave the cooked breakfast a try the second morning in case our experience was a one-off - it was a little better but still mostly inedible apart from the mushrooms and (tinned) tomato. On the third morning, we skipped breakfast and had brunch out.

Good value

The hotel is a little dated and a bit shabby in places but they are currently upgrading it and the room I was in was one of the new rooms and was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very busy with tour buses but the staff were very good and apologised for the delay in the dining room and the food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good although a teapot instead of a cup would have been better. There was a singer on who was excellent and although on business it made it more of a holiday feel. The surrounding area is really pretty and I would go back as the price was realistic for the overall quality.

We enjoyed our stay at the Carrbridge hotel. We would go back, but not to the room we were allocated. (423) the outlook was very poor. Also, we would have liked a change to the menu instead of the same choices every night. Staff were very nice.

Very pleasant hotel

Very pleasant looking building at first appearance Good car park with room as we arrived fairly late in the day Reception was inviting and efficient Young man was very helpful The room was very comfortable clean and well presented Everything you needed Good night sleep nice and quiet Therefore all excellent value for money
