“Lovely property -- a lot of stais to get to rooms, but a very nice location”

“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. “I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.”

“Appearance was very drab, in need of renovation. Very basic furniture, extremely noisy cistern when flushing the loo. Overhead light in the bathroom was full of dead insects etc, wires hanging down from the television. Black mould on the windows. Tea bags not sealed but loose in a plastic container and not fresh. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. The cooked breakfast was very nice.”
