This was simply a great Hotel/Inn to stay at. Staff were super friendly and nice, beds comfy, breakfast delicious and if you're a history nerd, it's right next to the Roman walls. Would absolutely come here again.

The staff make this property all it is. This a small space, althought the restaurant compared to the 2 bar areas is surprisingly large and air conditioned which made all the difference on the heat-wave day that we visited.

An absolutely lovely place. Wonderful, welcome from the friendly staff. Made to feel like one of the locals. Extremely clean, comfortable room, with all the facilities you need. Lovely, well cooked breakfast. I would certainly return, and recommend.

I would stay here again

I had a very pleasant day and would stay here again just a quick note there is no food served on a Monday evening but there’s plenty of places to eat and you can order in a Takeaway Breakfast is enormous. You might need to lie down afterwards.

Nice friendly pub. Room was basic but clean with a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was a bit disorganised as there was no menu as such and it was difficult to find out what was available. Good if you like a full English breakfast but otherwise poor.

Comfortable clean room perhaps in need of a face lift. Staff were very friendly and helpful with all aspects of our stay. Breakfast was cooked to order and really very good. Coffee was good, which we thought a nice bonus.
