Firstly fantastic staff. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely well stocked bar area. Fabulous breakfast. Very clean. Free parking to the rear of the property. Central location. We stayed as we were attending a wedding so didn’t really explore much but what we saw was very nice. Bedrooms were basic but this was obviously reflected in the price. Teas and coffee were well stocked in the room and had a good variety. Larger towels would have been appreciated. On the whole fantastic stay and for the reasonable price it was good.

Parking is first come first served. We had no issue. We did go around twice as we missed the entrance. Room was clean and comfortable. We would have liked a firmer mattress. Loved the wonky bits of the building. Breakfast was lovely. Good choice of everything and we asked if we wanted more. Great atmosphere in the bar, seems popular with locals. All staff were very friendly and chatty.

Location good, everything close by and withjn easy walking distance. Off road parking. Dated but quaint building. I had an end room with such weak water pressure that a shower was very slow. Nice breakfast but overpriced. Limited menu but I had very good fresh fish and chips for lunch. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Great location in the centre of Chepstow. Staff were really friendly on arrival and the whole place looked spotlessly clean. However, I’m not sure which bit of the room was soundproof- at 3am I was woken by a guest in the next room, chatting about his friends’ sexuality… to himself! At 0530 I was awake again by people in the creakiest corridor known to man, after which I couldn’t sleep due to noise of other guests leaving… it all sounded as if they were in the room with us! Just after 0930, housekeeping was knocking the door, to check we were in there apparently!! I loved the place… but rooms are definitely NOT soundproof, and I need my sleep!!
