Our hosts were knowledgeable about the area and friendly. The view from our balcony (lānai) was amazing with all the lush plants and flowers. The breakfasts were delicious and hardy! We even loved the coqui frogs singing us to sleep at night!

Carl and Elma were fantastic hosts ... again, having stayed here in same room 3 years earlier. The three rooms on street level where you park with a common lobby room, with a day room for those who need to stow stuff on a checkout day, There is a great breakfast and coffee on the upper floor large balcony overlooking a naturalized area with wild pigs, cows, chickens, tree frogs, birds, and a wonderful view of the ocean. It is a unique place to stay in Hawaii and in an area that we find most interesting near the snorkeling sites and restaurants of Captain Cook. Good value.

Superb location with a view of the South Kona coast from the Lanai! A mile away from some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii. Carl & Emma were awesome hosts, catering to our many small needs. Looking forward to coming back here soon!

Friendly owners. Great breakfasts. Rural atmosphere. If you would like to be away from hustle and bustle, this may be the place for you. I really enjoyed the private deck area in the mornings. Close to Captain Cook cove and two-step beach.

Nice laid-back stay

Other than the very vocal local frogs it was a nice, quiet, low-key location on the island, which is what I was looking for. All my needs were met and the host was friendly and knowledgeable. They also made a nice breakfast I enjoyed before heading to my next stop on the island. Of you are looking to stay out of the more touristy areas this is a lovely place to stay.

We truly enjoyed our 2 night stay before heading north for the lavaman Triathlon. I found Carl to be really informative about the area and beaches. Enjoyed great conversations with him. Home made Breakfast was amazing! Sitting on the deck with the distant ocean view was delightful in the mornings. Felt like being in the jungle with the sounds of birds at dusk which was a unique experience. This B and B even had chairs and scuba gear to borrow for our beach visit close by. Room was clean and equipped for all our needs. I recommend this unique charming home for a stay - away from all the touristy hotels. 3 separate rooms below the main home gives the privacy you may want yet a BnB experience. We also loved having our own private deck in the Palm suite. A really great Value too!!!

Like the hospitality of the host. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delightful and tasty all done my Emma. The only problem we had was that the bathroom were not ADA compliant. The bath tub was a foot of the floor and made it very difficult for my wife to climb in an out of the bath. The breakfast area requires going up stairs and makes it difficult for someone with mobility issues. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Our cute yellow bedroom was adorable. We spent evening hours out on the lanai - Reading out on the lanai was so relaxing! Listening to all the nightly chirping was cool. Emma cooked wonderful breakfasts that started our days eating upstairs on their outdoor patio. Carl shared all the fruits around their home that Emma used. Location was great - we went to one beach 2.5 miles south and saw fish and a sea turtle. Snorkeled at step down beach - cool fish seen. We ventured 15 -25 min for evening meals. Note: downtown Kona parking charges $15/hr - we stayed for one hour to view all the artisans at their art show. Again great b& b - highly recommend!

t has its own vibe, the bedroom stylish but overall the room and bathroom need to be updated. The cows and chickens are fun, but it feels like we are in the farm. Just to be prepared if you looking for that kind of experience. I grew up with cows and chickens, bit it was too much for our vacation:) we had a wonderful sunset view but never tried it on our balcony, since the cows and smell wasn't our choice for the dinner at sunset.

I celebrated my husband birthday here and the host Carol and his wife worked with me to surprise him with a delicious birthday cake. They bought the cake and surprised us. The stay was amazing, if your not planning to stay in all day as we were pretty much out enjoying our activities and slept most of the 2 nites. Waking up to their delicious bed and breakfast was a plus not to mention their breath taking view. If you don’t mind sharing the living room with other guest and value your bedroom with a balcony, bathroom and comfortable bed then you can enjoy the simple life. This one is top of the line for such a good price. If your into updated imentities and appliances your better of spending a lot more at the high end hotels. We will definitely be returning as were locals and just need a place to rest our heads and feel at home while we’re out on our adventure.

A very homey and hospitable BnB. We had a very comfortable room with a big lanai and an ocean view over the gardens. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The farm animals, birds and the owners dogs were gentle company. The property is very private but on the main belt road and convenient to both sides of the island. Plenty of good local restaurants, shops, markets and historic sites and beaches.

Carl was a wonderful host, immediately taking time to give loads of info to make the best of our stay Kona. The room was beautiful, the lanai facing the water. The breakfast was delicious both mornings we were there.The hosts provided beach towels, lots of beach and snorkeling gear. The only downside was that we were there for just 2 nights!

Great Family Location

This was our family's first trip to Hawaii and this location made the experience so special with home-made breakfast and local coffee. There was a generous supply of snorkeling and beach equipment to use. Great place and wonderful hosts.
