We enjoyed our stay. Very helpful staff. Front desk and doormen were great. Primrose and Felicia in the restaurant were always so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. Good location. This is our go to Hotel in Cape Town. The staff has consistently been gracious and helpful in all respects. The two dining venues are excellent and the lobby bar a great place to have a drink before dining or going out. The treatments in the spa have always been excellent. The Taj club has excellent canapés in the drinks are always flowing. This is truly a gem in the heart of the city yet close to everything which is the reason we return time again.

I was visiting Cape Town for work, and had extended my stay to do some sightseeing. For this part, I booked my stay at Taj via Expedia. Price was very competitive; having grown up in India, I am quite familiar with the Taj brand, which was a reason I chose this property. The check-in was smooth, property very well managed with lots of amenities (most of which I did not get to use as I was outside exploring the city). The staff was very well trained. Our flight was delayed because of mechanical issues and we lost 3 days of our vacation in Cape Town. The hotel front desk staff were so accommodating, especially Margaret! Our room was upgraded and we were only charged for the days that we stayed! How often does that happen? We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and delicious drinks at the lobby bar. We also had an amazing dinner experience at the Bombay Brasserie!! We can’t wait to return to this hotel in the future!

Staying on the Executive Floor is the only way to go. You are pampered from the moment you arrive. On arrival you can wait in the club having breakfast and other refreshments until your room is ready. Each evening from 5:00-7:00 there is happy hour with a buffet of interesting canapés that vary throughout the week. This was also a fun way to try some South African wines and liquor. The sparkling white was our favorite. Our reservation included breakfast and dinner. The dinner was five star outstanding. The fillet was comparable to a five star steakhouse. Service was spot on. Dinner was a leisurely pace which was perfect after a day of touring. This was our second stay at the TAJ Cape Town and we would always stay here if returning.
