Loved my stay at Rouge on Rose. Staff extremely friendly, welcoming and supportive. Room was great! Very large, especially the bathroom with the lovely tub as well. Very conveniently located, walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. Already booked another stay.

The staff and manager were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We felt very welcome and it was a pleasure to stay there. We would recommend the area as it is away from the commercialisation of the waterfront and you were interacting with the real people of Capetown. A great experience.

A beautiful and unique family run boutique hotel, located in the historic area Bo-Kaap, walking distance from the CBD. Spacious and clean, rooms, and probably one of the best breakfasts I have had in Cape Town. Excellent service, and amazing hosts.

Unexpectedly, I found this quaint and unique hotel in the middle of various restaurants and shopping options. A grocery and liquor store, multi cuisine restaurants, music venues, and other entertainment options were within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay with very friendly and helpful owners and staff, who went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Our room was fantastic with a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. Very clean, good air conditioning and all the facilities required. Good location in the centre with good access to Uber. Excellent restaurants nearby. We highly recommend for a visit to Cape Town.

Spent 4 nights at Rouge and had a lovely stay. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. Michel was great with providing ideas of what to do and where to eat. Breakfasts were also fantastic including the serving staff. Watch out for Chris who served up some deadpan humour with your breakfast, too funny !

Michel made us feel so welcome to Cape Town and his passion for this area was infectious. We took him up on many of his suggestions. Lovely friendly staff and day and night security systems means you feel safe. So many great places to eat very close by and just at the edge of Bo Kaap but only a 25 minute walk to the V&A waterfront. We hope to return!

After an intense work week, a friend and I had 4 days in Cape Town before returning to Canada. Rouge on Rose was a perfect place to explore Cape Town and its environs. The hotel is in Bo K-aap which is a really interesting neighbourhood and very central. The vibe was definitely chilled. The rooms are large and comfortable. Lots of little things done well - lots of international plugs, heat/ac pumps. Staff were fantastic - they went out of their way to be helpful and also had lots of great tips. I will definitely book again if I heard down to Cape Town. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay!

The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. We arrived early in the morning, well before the stated check-in time. The gladly stored our luggage and delivered it to the room while we explored the city. They made good recommendations about where to eat and what to do. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. I would gladly stay there again.

Cozy place to stay, warmly greeted by the staff always. Staff genuinely cared for our wellbeing. When we returned from a road trip at night, they escorted us to park the car in their garage to keep it safe overnight. Breakfast was simple, unpretentious but delicious and made to order. Room was very spacious for 2 people, comfortable. Has different international plugs to use our electronics.

I can't wait to get back to the Rouge!!!

We love this hotel, the staff and accommodations. They addressed our every need, (but we really didn't need anything because they provided wonderful amenities that we didn't even know we needed!!) The proprietors assisted us in navigating around the vicinity specifically and Capetown in general. We will return to Capetown if only to stay at the Rouge one more time. If you don't book here, you will have missed something very special.

The rooms were cleaned daily and always felt fresh and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely amazing—definitely one of the highlights of our stay!
