Our second visit here and it again exceeded expectations. Fabulous location and views over the forest, vineyards and the bay beyond. Rose and her team couldn’t do enough. The breakfasts were great.

We had a last minute change of plans to stay at Lalapanzi and so glad we did! Rose and the staff were brilliant and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet, whether relaxing on the terrace outside our room, sitting by the pool or hiking the trails on the property. Breakfast on the upper deck was lovely, stunning views over False Bay. Would definitely recommend if looking for accommodation in this area!

Beautiful property with an incredible view. The vibe around the lodge is unlike other areas I stayed in the Cape Town area. It has a forest setting with vineyards near by. The staff was great. Plan to have a dinner at the lodge at least one night. The food was great.

We stayed 7 days in January 2024. The staff and service were great! They made us feel like home the moment we arrived. The breakfast is excellent and we also enjoyed dinner one evening during our stay. Quiet and safe, easy to enjoy a walk around the area. The property manager and Rose deserve 5 star for their outstanding hospitality!

The very best !

Can not be better than this, close to Watercloof Vineyard most modern in South Africa only 6 km away. Lies on a cliff like the Eagle Nest! Modern like a James Bond movie!

Lalapanzi est sorte de cabane au Canada mais en afrique du Sud. Le personnel est toujours souriant et aidant. Lalapanzi is a kind of canadian cabin but in South Africa. The personnel is always smili g and helpfull.

Beautiful lodge in stunning location

Stayed for two nights as a couple. We both absolutely LOVED our stay here - the room was spacious, spotless and had a stunning view over the countryside and down to the sea. Room was very well equipped and modern. Welcome and service from Rose and team was lovely - we felt looked after and Rose was able to provide advice on what do to during our stay. The estate that the lodge is on is huge and we were able to walk / hike around - there are vineyards, a small reservoir and some hiking trails - it’s all beautiful. We can’t wait come back and spend more time here.

Very pleasant, comfortabele and quiet stay in the mountains near Cape Town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Vineyards and woods. Great restaurant (Idiom) and good birdwatching (Sir Lowry’s Pass) nearby.

Amazing Lalapanzi

We had an amazing time at Lalapanzi Lodge. A beautiful, cozy lodge in the mountain, with ocean views. They have a swimming pool in the middle of a pine forest and every luxury you could dream of. We would love again to go if we ever have the chance.

Urige Lodge in traumhafter Lage

Die Fahrt zur Lodge ist wundervoll. Dort oben ist es so schön friedlich und ruhig. Wälder und Weinberge! Auch das Personal ist super nett, besonders die Chefin und Cindy! Allerdings war unser Zimmer ziemlich dunkel und hellhörig, weil es unter dem Frühstücks- und Abendessensraum lag - es gibt aber auch andere Zimmer, die sind weiter weg und wirkten auch heller!

Peaceful and relaxing stay

We enjoyed a 2 day stay in the suite while visiting the nearby Waterkloof restaurant. The suite was spacious with a separate bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and outside terrace. The lodge is in a lovely peaceful, private estate and the views across False Bay are stunning. Rose and all of the staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. We found the food to be good rather than excellent (with the exception of the gorgeous fillet steak!) and this is the reason for not making our review a 5 star rating overall.

Great service, cool view, lovely room!

This lodge is a bit out of the way, but it has a spectacular view and the whole team is very friendly and super helpful. We checked in late and hadn't made dinner plans, but discovered that nearly everything was closed. The chef scrambled to put something together for us for dinner, and it was great. The next morning, again having failed to plan ahead, we asked Rose to help us find a driver for the day, so that we could visit local wineries. While we enjoyed our breakfast, she was able to get us all set up! Great service, cool view, lovely rooms. We highly recommend staying here!

The views from our room were incredible! We stayed at Lalapanzi on our last night in Cape Town. It is a short drive from the airport and it offered the perfect seclusion (and views) we needed after a busy week of safari in Kruger. The staff were very helpful and nice!

Sehr gute Lage mit besonderem Ausblick

Die Lodge liegt sehr ruhig zwischen großen Kiefern und Weinhängen. Ringsherum gibt es viele Möglichkeiten sich zu bewegen. Schwimmen im sehr gepflegten Pool oder kleine Wanderungen durch die Weinberge. Das Personla ist sehr aufmerksam und die Küche kann man empfehlen.

Tolle Aussicht und toller Gastgeber

Rose war eine der liebenswertesten Gastgeber/in auf der ganzen Garden Route. Die Unterkunft hat uns von der Art her sehr begeistert, leider haben wir nur eine Nacht dort verbracht. Wir würden auch wiederkommen. Wald und Natur pur.
