A great new find.

Our first time at La Fontaine and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded expectation. The staff were excellent. Very attentive and interested in all their guests. The breakfasts offered a great choice and were very good. The. Bedroom was very comfortable, albeit an extractor fan in the bathroom would be a good addition. The communal areas were welcoming and very comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

I did not want to leave tabs hope to return one day! Everything at this hotel is perfection - from the room decor to the breakfast, the gorgeous grounds to the AMAZING staff. The breakfast was DIVINE! Best French toast of my life. Stayed with my husband as part of our honeymoon and received a bottle of prosecco on arrival. Spent an evening playing chess by the fireplace with delicious drinks from the bar. Book this place now! You won’t regret it!

Amazing! Will go back

Would 100% recommend and will definitely return for a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Fontaine - the rooms were clean and modern. Comfortable bed, and a wonderful shower. Our rooms were downstairs around shared courtyard, where the doors opened up next to the pool. The staff were absolutely amazing and were so happy to help with all manner of requests. Breakfast was part buffet, part al a carte - we were impressed every day with the quality of the food. There are nice areas to eat for breakfast (inside and outside). The bar was very nicely decorated and comfortable for drinks, games, watching sport.. The hotel site felt very secure - for parking, and personally. Close to Franschhoek town - the restaurants and shops are just a walk away. Very convenient. Worth noting that the hotel has a back up generator so during load shedding, we were able to use ample electricity in the rooms - and the bar area was fully functioning (critical for sporting events).

Lush boutique hotel with amazing little touches

So many little touches like chocolates on the pillow and the turn down service. Couldn’t be more helpful for anything we needed! Room was lush had a massive bathroom and massive bed too. Breakfast was great and bar staff also lovely.

We had an amazing experience here, we have never encountered such wonderfully helpful staff, nothing was too much for them. It was like the staff owned the hotel as they took such attention to every detail. They were the warmest and happy staff that we have come across. Happy We Chose La Fontaine

The friendly staff helped make this a spectacular stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the town and wineries. The location was excellent and the beds were great. We didn't try it, but we were told one of the swimming pools was bathtub warm.

A true gem. This is my new go-to place for the first (and second) night in Cape Town. Most international flights arrive in the early morning and commercial downtown hotels do not let you check in before 3 pm. Most of us are exhausted. So make your way to Franschhoek against traffic and stop at some wineries on the way. Then rest at La Fontaine. Many fine restaurants within 0.5 miles. Lovely breakfast and exceptional service.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with fabulous service! Rooms are spacious and clean but the staff make this a place to return to in the future!
