Booked a stay in one of the Airstreams on the roof of this quirky hotel. It was a unique form of accommodation that didn’t disappoint. Lovely hotel in a good location with staff that properly looked after me. Would happily recommend.

Very nice and well located boutique hotel. Staff very friendly. The breakfasts are delicious and have very generous portions. Dining in is also recommended but the selection may be limited and can be out of meat which was very disappointing. Had another beef plate because they were out steaks, but it had too many fat pieces. I politely made a couple of recommendations to avoid this unpleasant culinary experience.

Conveniently located by shops and restaurants/ bars on Long Street, this hotel is clean and really nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious, the beds super comfy, the bathrooms modern, and the rooms nice and quiet. What really stood out was how thoughtful and helpful the staff were — especially at the front desk. I've stayed here a couple of times now and can't wait to come back next year.

This is a boutique hotel with character. If you need everything totally modern, it might not be for you but I enjoyed it. The room was clean and cozy with no odors. Heath wise, I just did not like the dark carpet in the room. I kept shoes on at all times. They need to upgrade to laminate flooring. The old time elevator was a treat. Breakfast was fantastic. The area is great for walking. I’d stay there again.

The Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel is a jewel amongst the Victorian buildings on Long Street. The stylish rooms, hipster, rooftop bar scene, and incredibly friendly staff make this hotel a must-stay when I'm in Cape Town.
