10 out 10 and we would love to go back

Fabulous stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated with very tasteful modern furnishings. Jan is a super host and keeps the place spotless and provided lots of little treats throughout our stay. He lives next door which is very convenient especially if things go wrong, like my husband losing his wallet on the first day. The pool area is lovely and peaceful and we had a refreshing swim most days after visiting the wineries.

Everything about this cottage was perfect. Jan the host was exceptional, he welcomed us on arrival and went through everything with us. We were given a bottle of local wine, local coffee and the fridge had milk, soft drinks and fruit in it. Every evening we enjoyed a delicious local chocolate and the lanterns in the courtyard were lit Everything was spotless and freshened up every day - the towels, sheets and furnishings were top quality and we felt really pampered with robes and slippers provided. It was like being in a 5* hotel but with our own facilities like the beautiful flower filled courtyard and delightful pool with very comfortable loungers. It more than lived up to expectations and far exceeded them thanks to Jan's excellent hosting skills. We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting accommodation in Franschhoeck in a great area so near all the restaurants and the main street.

Perfect in every way !

The Cottage is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, the host Jan has thought of everything. The private area outside and the pool are fab, pretty garden with lots of flower's and shrubs to attract the birds. Jan sent us useful information on booking and then more on check in which helped us decide how we would spend our time, he gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and vineyards to visit. There were lots of lovely little touches each day it was definitely a 5 star experience and we hope to return. Thanyou Jan for making our stay so perfect!!

Even before we arrived at Bleu Cobalt Cottage, we knew we were in good hands. Jan responded to every text almost immediately and gave us good advice along the way. We were warmly welcomed. From the freshly ground coffee and rusks for breakfast to the the chocolates on our bedside table at night and everything in between, we felt completely at home. Jan gave us suggestions on things to do and where to go and answer all of our questions. We left lucky to have been able to enjoy Jan's warm hospitality and lovely accommodations.

Amazing place. Jan the host was super attentive. Everything was pristine. Cottage serviced twice a day. Fresh fruit, water and chocolates provided daily. Bottle of wine on arrival. Pool and terrace area for private use was fabulous. Jan kept us updated on load shedding ie when and if the electricity would be off, and was always available for any questions or recommendations. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Can’t wait to return.

The host was exceptionally professional,helpful and friendly. Supplied beautiful black furry slippers and bathrobes. Flowers on our pillow each night/comp bottle of wine and port supplied/change of decorative pillows and comforter each night and voucher to a local cafe as we were staying for a while. Decor fabulous/shower v hot. Sent us info on restaurants in advance and checked we got to airport ok after we left. 10 stars if they had it!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation war super. Schon im Vorfeld erhielten Informationen um die Anreise so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wow wow wow! Words cannot describe the beauty, comfort, amazing service and peace of this property! Jan is the best host we have encountered in many years of extensive travelling for both business and leisure! Absolutely blown away From gorgeous gowns and slippers, fresh, peaceful and beautiful decor and surroundings to the tranquil pool and attention to every single detail! Un décor enchanteur autant dans l'appartement que dans le jardin privé avec piscine. Plein de petites attentions comme des chocolats et des fruits, café moulu de grande qualité, les chandelles partout dans le jardin le soir, vraiment romantique. A ne pas manquer. Près de tous.
