Located at the end of Tauranga Bay is a secluded beach cottage paradise. Our hosts, Sandra and Doc, greeted us with open arms and helped carry our luggage to our private, modern-equipped cottage. The place was extremely clean and neat and furnished with modern appliances, bathroom fixtures, and comfortable furnishings. Breakfast each morning was plentiful- the espresso coffee, fruits, cheese, eggs, toasts, and tasty granola were plentiful to keep us nourished throughout the day. Sandra and Doc are wonderful hosts with a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area and are so willing to research places for more detail. An overall great place to relax for a few days and enjoy Westport.

The Bayhouse Beach Front is an absolutely outstanding accommodation in every aspect. Not only does it have stunning views on a wild area of coastline and a beautiful garden but when the doors open to your apartment you’ll find yourself in an accommodation luxuriously equipped. On your arrival you are warmly welcomed by wonderful hosts who care for you in the best way you can imagine, treating you to a most delicious breakfast. This accommodation is a jewel among many accommodations we have been in NZ. We will never forget our stay there.

Beautiful well thought out space. Can’t say enough about our suit and the owners. The location is right on the water with easy walking access to the beach and hiking trails. Our hosts Sandra and Doc were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The suit was like new fitted with high end modern appointments. The breakfast that they provided was just what we needed. Had we known how nice this place was we would have scheduled this in our plans for a few more days.

Beyond all our expectations

I have never given a 10/10 review, but this was an 11. Doc and Sandra have gone to extraordinary lengths to make this an exceptional experience, and have succeeded spectacularly. Incredible location and views are just the beginning; ultimate luxury in the fittings and furniture, and truly excellent food. Go for the best coffee in NZ, go for the japanese style toilet, or go for the most amazing glass wall view - but go.
