The breakfast was fantastic and could not be better. The staff were very attentive and made sure the breakfast tables were regularly topped up. I was very impressed with the helpfulness of all of the staff. They were great!

The staff were very friendly. Check in was quick and easy. The room was a little dated but comfortable and clean. It had a lovely jacuzzi bath! Breakfast was very good . Had a swim in the pool which was very clean and refreshing

Our stay was great. Very comfortable bed, clean bathroom, excellent breakfast. The hotel is close to the city centre and we could do everything on foot. The staff were very friendly and polite.

A lovely hotel

Great stay, lovely staff, and a building full of character! Breakfast and the pool were truly awesome, too. The only downside was some furniture/equipment needing a bit of love (door knob broken on the bedside table, screw on the window loose, hook behind the door in the changing rooms of the pool broken etc), plus a bit of noise from the road but really nothing major at all, it was a lovely stay overall

We had a lovely 3 night stay at The Canterbury Hotel. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. Room was comfortable & the breakfast buffet excellent. Definitely recommend & will stay again.

Very nice hotel, but limited parking.

Excellent small hotel with very friendly staff and nice breakfast. Only downside was the limited parking available. The staff did make sure everyone was happy, but there was only around 10 parking spaces, but they were free unlike other hotels. Would definitely stay here again.

Straight up amazing hotel with the pool, great rooms & breakfast. Close to the City Walls and a Castle, pretty much walkable to the center of Canterbury. No one should hesitate to book, strongly recommended.

Would recommend.

Had a few days getaway to Canterbury nice and near the town centre. The hotel was well presented clean and tidy the breakfast was very nice did miss not having a proper shower as it's a bath set up would stay again .

Nice relaxing hotel!

Check in was very quick and easy! Spacious room with lovely gardens and an indoor pool. Breakfast was very nice. Car park very small, but there is a public car park very close by.

Spontaneous booking

Traveling back from France. It was a spontaneous decision due to traffic issues. The hotel staff who greeted us named Sam was lovely. Very welcoming and friendly A** for customer services. Nice hotel needs updating in areas but overall ok. I had a good night's sleep and breakfast was decent as well. Will probably stay here again.

Nice Hotel conveniently situated

Nice hotel appx 10/15 minute walk to city centre. We were situated in a room in an added building to rear of hotel which was quiet as the main hotel is situated on a busy road. The room was clean but probably in need of a refurb. Buffet breakfast was very good and cannot fault friendliness and helpfulness of the staff

Great hotel value for money near the town centre

Guys at the reception were really friendly and helpful. Very smooth check in. Room was clean and warm. Free parking and free WiFi was a real bonus. Hotel it's within walking distance from the lovely town centre. Pool was a bit too cold for our liking. Breakfast was adequate, cooked items, cold cuts, some pastries, fruit, cereals...

Nice hotel, short distance from Canterbury. Room was ok, beds are however too soft for my liking. All the big chains seem to have solved this problem but the smaller hotels still persevere with these less satisfactory mattresses. Breakfast was ok but a bit short of veggie alternatives. Staff were very friendly. Overall a good place to stay.

I was so excited to stay here. The reviews were positive, the parking (imperative), a good breakfast & the pool definite pluses. On arrival (I had told the hotel I would be late - arrived about 9pm) No parking available - I was told, 'its first come first served'. Fair enough, but there is no other parking & this wasn't communicated. I was told to use my phone to find a nearby school which should be ok to leave my car, or to find & park in the industrial estate behind (??) I had no idea where I was & it was dark. I did not feel safe. After driving round, I called the hotel, the, 'I'm just a receptionist', on duty could not put me through to a manager as she was now off duty, 'I could email them but they'd not get that till tomorrow'. So, the advice was, 'in your position I would honestly just book another hotel'. Still no reply to the messages sent. So. In conclusion. If it goes well, according to reviews, you'll probably have a great time. If it doesn't, don't expect any back up
