Hotel is in very good location, however, the quality of your stay depends on the room that get:
The hotel has four floors. Because of a slope in the terrain on the waterfront most rooms on the first floor, are technically basement, guests have a window but they will look at a wall. These are the cheaper rooms, referred to as ground floor. All other rooms are more expensive. If you stay on floors 3 & 4 your are lucky and you will enjoy a quiet room & privacy. If you happen to be on the floor 2 you are doomed. This is technically the floor 1 - at the same level is the reception & a large common space. If you stay in rooms 10 or 11, you have all the traffic & noise of the crowd - people return late from a party & continuing to celebrate, the receptionist starts watching a soccer game in front of your room at 2:00 am, etc.
More bothersome is the security - because of the slope on the waterfront side, the balcony is barely 1.8m from the ground. There is lots of traffic because of a public trail running two meters away from the balcony. At night things become sketchy. Must have had problems in the past - three looks on balcony door, a security advice telling you to keep the doors locked and the curtains closed all day and night! There is also a security camera that looks ON balconies of rooms 10 and 11, the guy at the front desk confirmed that he can watch me! Wanted to change from floor 2 to 3 or 4 instantly, staff kept telling us next day, gave up on third day (stayed 5 days).
