The staff were great and the property was very clean and well maintained. I would have liked to have seen more activities at the resort, but overall it was a very good trip. I would suggest to keep the pool bars and eating options open to at least 10pm.

The property is small compared to nearby resorts but it was just what my mom and I needed for a weekend getaway. It is clean, the buffet food was really good and the beach is beautiful. We were hanging out in the beach at night and saw 3 big sea turtles come out and start digging to lay their eggs…it was a beautiful experience. The hotel security was on it, they told us not to take pics with flash and explained to us that they will contact local conservationists and have the eggs relocated by the next day. It was amazing to learn and see with our own eyes those Beautiful creatures. Lovely experience. The restaurant was really good too and our servers were really nice.

Flamingo Cancun was very nice, but I will never book with Expedia again in my life. Before booking, I told them about my son, who has special needs. I told them what my basic needs were, and they said everything would be taken care of, but they lied. They also said they would provide vegetarian meals, but when we arrived, the story was something else. If you book through Expedia, be careful. However, Flamingo's staff was very kind and tried to help us in whatever way they could.

Our stay had several disappointing issues. At check-in, our sliding door lock was broken, which was especially concerning because it had easy access to the pool. We reported it immediately, but it wasn’t fixed until the next day after I spoke with the manager. That same night around 2 a.m., a pipe burst and flooded our bathroom. It took over 10 minutes for someone to respond, and we weren’t moved to another room until I spoke with the manager the next morning. On the positive side, the drinks were great and the restaurant service was amazing. The food, however, was mediocre. Overall, the staff was wonderful, but the maintenance and response to serious issues were disappointing.

The buffet staff was great! Especially Carlos! He was super helpful when my granddaughter needed assistance with and allergic reaction to peanuts in the food. He was so kind and genuinely caring. Also the concierge, Misael, was so personable and kind. He made our stay more pleasant. The beach was gorgeous!! With lots of palm trees, cabanas, beautiful blue-green water, and super fine white sand.

Location was awesome right by the beach. Lifeguard on duty during the day and seaweed was cleaned every day too. The two restaurants serve a variety of food and it was delicious. Best part they closed late. Only complained was the beer they served was on Tap and two type of modelo but the great part, you can walk across the street and purchase anything you want. You can also get local transportation, city bus, accross the street. I had booked an ocean view and I got it. Views from the room were breath taking. My flight arrived early but the hotel couldn't give my room until check in time, but they gave me access to everything else to include their restaurants. The hotel offered cabanas at no extra charge which I took advantage every day. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They asked me if I was celebrating anything which, I was and on my birthday I found a bottle of champagne. I was surprised they had paid attention and acknowledged the occasion of my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on staying here again on my next trip to Cancun.
