We have a reservation and on our arrival they said the reservation was for the next next day? The booking was "pay on arrival" but the money was taken 2 days priror. Major problems with them using the reservation system. Sent us to a sister property. Room and staff were great there.

Cleanliness except the door in our room was falling apart. Just need maintaining. I love the idea of laminate or hardwood floors versus carpet. It makes it look clean. It does need upgrades tho. Staff were friendly and amazing. I gave it 4 stars for cleanliness. Kitchen is functional good set up for a longer stay. Ocean just across the road, just too rocky for walking along the shore.

Location across from the sea walk was nice. Not enough parking to be comfortable that a spot would be available no matter the hour of return to the hotel. Staff helpful to accommodate an early check in which was not anticipated (cleaner prioritized room). Advertised as a boutique hotel, furnishings were more used than antique and the interior state is "tired" which could be easily fixed with paint and a proper clean of windows and balconys. Showers are extremely small, even for a short, slim woman. A chair in the room would be helpful, as furnishings were sparse. Breakfast buffet was good!

The Heron’s Landing is right across the road from the oceanfront. It is simple, honest, basic accomo, and if you’re being picky, it’s a bit dated. That said it very clean and very well kept. Covered parking is available, and the included breakfast was a bonus, given the price point. Overall, it was excellent value for the rate paid.

this hotel is older & sits on the ocean front so if your room faces that way it's beautiful, restaurant and pub close by, its full of antiques with decor giving it a look of long history , nothing modern or fancy. room was very clean and bed very comfortable. looked as though a new heat pump was installed which was nice and quiet. room patio was nice to enjoy the ocean air. Only complaint was there was no one available to check me in i waited rang the bell eventually a fellow showed up, he handed me a room card no offer of information or greeting abruptly went back to what he was doing. the covered entrance outside entry reeked of cigarette smoke, obviously someone was there smoking prior, that didn't give a great first impression of how the hotel would be so i was reluctant upon checking in. the room price on this stay was far below any other hotels in campbell river during prime travel season, the breakfast selection looked very good if we'd got there early enough to enjoy. Overall we'd likely stay here again.
