The property is attractive, room was lovely and clean, grounds were appealing and we had a room with French doors leading outside with a small table and chairs outside which was great for breakfast etc. There is a kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal which is a bonus if you fancy self catering. Adam was helpful and informative. Very quiet and relaxing location and perfect for visiting the area although you do need a car.

This was a very quiet place to stay, in a good location to explore Cambridge & the fens around there. The village itself was great, with a fantastic restaurant (Lot25) and an incredibly interesting church in terms of interior. I was on a long weekend with a good chum, and we had two rooms opposite each other. Although everything was clean and the beds were comfortable, I did feel like we were staying in a business school conference centre. The rooms lacked a few practical things, which you would expect for the cost of the room, such as a full-length mirror, the ability to plug the hairdryer in near a mirror, and somewhere to put bottles in the shower. My friend's room lock was a bit dodgy too, and she found a few annoying little niggles. There is a microwave , coffee machine, and fridge in the room, so if you were staying for longer, or on a budget, that would be useful, esp. as there are three small supermarkets in the village. Then there is a communal kitchen, where we chose to prep our breakfasts, but it was a bit of a faff, going through a myriad doors to the other side of the building, carrying things, and if it hadn't been dry and sunny, we wouldn't have been able to sit at a table and eat together. So all fine, and worked for this trip, but just a bit of an odd place...

I booked 2 rooms, one was much bigger and was better than the other but both adequate for 1 night. The bathroom in the smaller room was unfinished but totally usable. The shared facilities were good, lovely lounge. Beds were not that comfortable to be honest. Garden and outside areas looked lovely, a bit too cold to use unfortunately. Good quiet location and parking on site. Fridge, microwave and kettle in room was nice. We ate at a nearby restaurant called Lot 25, very enjoyable - good communication from Willingham House. Thank you. Park and Ride to Cambridge only ~2 miles away.

Strange place

The grounds and shared areas are fantastic and the room is fine but the bed was truly ridiculous and something you'd expect to find in a 1990s hostel in Eastern Europe, not a hotel meant for businesspeople. It was two single beds mashed together but one was super firm and the other so broken and saggy that you sunk to the floor, so of course if you tried using the whole bed, half your body was up high and the other half down low, with an uncomfortable seam that felt like you were sleeping over a bar. And the shower was so scalding hot (no matter what setting) that it was unusable. I had to soap up with ice cold water and then quickly rinse during the 20 seconds the water transitions from cold to boiling. Weird place. Sometimes you feel stately and elegant and other times you feel like it should have cost £10. Also strange to call the room an "Exclusive Apartment" - it was fine, and I recognize that European room sizes are significantly smaller on average, but "Exclusive Apartment"? There wasn't even a basic chair.

Parking was easy not so sure about secure. It is pet friendly but there is nowhere closeby where you could let the dog off as the garden opens on to the main road. Didn't see any staff apart from the manager when we arrived and that was a total fluke. the room was riddled with ants they were everywhere, i even landed up bringing some home with me. The pedal bin had'nt been washed out.

An amazing property with even gorgeous surroundings! We had a lovely and peaceful stay at Willingham House. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The setting is quiet and charming. The staff were kind, humble and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A great little spot if you’re looking for some quality rest. I’d happily stay again anytime! You can get to London in about an hour, and Cambridge is just around the corner when driving. A wonderful place to stay at, genuine English! Great pubs and restaurants nearby! Thank you very much for having us! I just couldn’t ask for more! :)

When something goes wrong there is no one to sort it out. We arrived Tuesday late afternoon and found our tv was not working, we told the girls cleaning the rooms the following day as we were leaving who made the comment “ that’s another one to add to the list “
