Clean and welcoming
Due to extreme hot weather even a large fan in the room,
Staff and locals made our stay memorable
Lovely white fluffy towels enhanced the shower after a sticky hot day/ night
Would recommend here for any length of stay
Room was spacious, clean and we had everything we needed. Staff were friendly, very easy check in. The only critique I’d give is the Bed wasn’t very comfortable.
Room was clean and ok nice and quiet, the breakfast was a bit poor as it was left in your room so was a box of cereal and milk with a shop bought croissant, plenty of places to eat within walking distance which was good
Just a quiet clean room, exactly what we needed. A pub just like 5 steps away with excellent people giving us a very warm welcome. Felt at ease straight away.

Although the bed was clean, there was a lot of dirt in the room, including aged cereal beside the fridge, and areas that hadn’t been dusted for weeks and damaged areas in the en-suite. There was a lot of noise from the beer cellar chillers.
Michelle, was a great host. The bar is lovely and quaint. A perfect pit stop for a couple of nights for myself and 3 under 14s.
She made sure there was plenty for breakfast and anything we needed she was there. The rooms are bright and airy and a good sized shower space.
Very comfortable, quaint rooms. We were only there for a night but would be more than happy to spend longer there.
Cooked breakfast would have been nice but we were really happy with the price so you can't have everything. The continental breakfast provided was fine.
Owners were lovely and we enjoyed a drink with them in the evening.
We arrived later than we had planned but received a warm welcome from the hosts.
We had the family room which is a good size, well decorated, warm and comfortable.
The accomodation was spotless.
We didnt eat there but will need to be in Cambridge in aroun 6 months time, so hoping we can stay again.
Great value for money. Highly recommended.
what a lovely little find. unfortunately I didn't spend much time there as we were at a gig down the road but I can tell you its the best sleep I've had in a long time, so comfortable.

Working locally
Upon arrival we were made to feel welcome and safe. The room was clean and dry, the only downside was being able to hear the cellar cooling machine during the night. Otherwise good.
Nice cottage room, beautiful outside seating area and flower boxes. Quite low ceiling pub. Was cold in the night and morning though, and couldn’t turn on any heating! Breakfast continental good products, although could’ve done with one of those little box of cereals. Floor and shower could’ve done with being more clean. Excellent value for money!
One of four rooms in an adjacent block (so no disturbance from the pub), the room and bathroom were very clean and provided everything needed for a one-night stay.
Appears to have recently been refurbished. Good-size shower cubicle and good quality towels provided.
We chose twin beds and they were full-size singles, unlike those often provided in smaller hotels.
Room was large, warm and well lit.
Breakfast was continental and pre-packed in a small 'fridge, consisting of one croissant with buuer and jam, one pain au chocolat and one cereal bar plus a bottle of orange juice. Tea tray also provided. Adequate - especially for the price.
Had a drink in the bar before going to a nearby retaurant. Decent selection of beers and natives friendly.

Below standard but nice staff.
Moved us rooms as had a problem with the 1st room so don't know if this was a back up room.
However was awake from the rain falling of a blocked guttering splashing on tarmac outside and someone couldn't tell where from, was clomping around in boots on a wooden floor from early hours.
Bed was comfy and it was warm inside but overall with the tired appearance of the room a leaking shower tray and continental
breakfast it just wasn't wasn't worth the money. Cafe 100 yrds up the road does a nice breakfast though.
The staff were polite and courteous.
The accommodation was a wooden construction in the yard.
There is an open porch over the front door and it was littered with cigarette stumps.
The room was clean as was the toilet and shower. The bed and towels were also clean.
The toilet/shower room was a little cramped and the window would not open.
The cutlery consisted of one teaspoon, no knife to spread butter and no spoons to eat the breakfast cereal.
The TV did not work despite two attempts by the managers to fix it. Later I retuned the TV and it worked perfectly.
The mattress was uncomfortable, hard and lumpy.
We went into the bar at nine o’clock and it was closed. We asked for a drink to take to our room and were told that the till was closed.
Would we stay again? Probably not.

Such friendly welcoming staff-could not fault. Unfortunately the double room was quite dirty and not in the best state of repair. The twin room was very noisy as situated directly near the fans for the pub cellar.
There were no clean pots for breakfast on our second day, breakfast was to be had in room (cereal, breakfast bars etc).
It served our purpose but a few improvements needed.
Room very clean and tidy,, this was our second visit and the host and her staff very attentive to our needs, Fridge stocked with refreshments, will definitely go back for another visit,
